The news about my roof yesterday was very mixed. The insurance company will fix the leak in the roof over my bedroom — for the $1000 deductible. But won’t fix the 5 leaks downstairs in my kitchen and bathroom, for any amount. Simply won’t fix them.

So I’m hoping my mortgage company can point me in the direction of possible grants or long-term loans for home repairs because I am determined to have a new roof by Christmas. This is just insane.
