I will try to post later today

I only have one brief shift today and I have to leave here soon. But I want to try to post an update here to the blog later this afternoon.

They have me working so much right now, gang, that it is ridiculous. It’s been 8 days since I had a day off and I won’t get another day off for 4 more days and meanwhile, they managed to cram 14 shifts for me into all that.

The hard part, of course, is that I really care very much for all the patients I have right now, so I sometimes feel a little guilty for feeling completely exhausted!!! Aaaaarrrgh!

Anyway. There really isn’t a whole lot of news but I do want to try to post an update later today.

Meanwhile, enjoy your Monday wherever you are in the world!!🙋‍♀️💖

  1. I’m sorry you’re being overworked, but glad your work is meaningful.

Today I was struck with a thought for you as well as others in the basic “climate change denial” camp, at least as to human causation…. It seems we’re finally past the full denial stage but many still deny a human connection as to cause.

OK… meet others of us “half-way”, especially we who DO see nefarious conspiracies in CERTAIN areas, this being one, but seeing a different KIND of conspiracy, and agent of actual harm.

By half-way I mean, for example, would you agree that decreasing CO2 in the air WOULD have the effect of lowering worldwide temperatures? And that being a general “conservation/conservative” thing as well? (It’s straightforward h.s. level science.) If so, would you applaud and perhaps actively support efforts to decrease CO2 and other, even more powerful “greenhouse gases”?

In other words, set aside any arguments as to whether humans have caused global warming, and accept at least the simple science that humans MAY be able to REDUCE the warming process by technological or other means. Not necessarily requiring all zero-emission cars, either.

Rather, a fully open, creative exploration, including fossil fuel, car manufacturing and other companies, as to both CO2 production levels AND sequestration of existing or as-produced CO2. (Massive tree planting is one strategy, but not nearly enough.)

This is an approach which Elon Musk and other entrepreneurs (majority probably Trump supporters) can, and many already DO, embrace. Why not follow THEIR news, encourage their efforts?
