In all honesty, c*up d’et *t, anyone?
From Tr**p’s interview on TV this morning:
Pr*sid* nt D* n** d T**p on Sunday morning said the Department of Justice (DOJ) is “missing in action” on investigating alleged election fraud.
T***p, in an interview with F* x B*sin *ss, said he has “not seen anything” from either the DOJ or the FBI since Election Day about alleged fraud or irregularities. “Missing in action. Can’t tell you where they are,” he said.
“Why isn’t the FBI involved?” he asked, “They’re not. And it’s a terrible thing for our country.” Election fraud “is the biggest thing you could be looking at,” the p**si d*nt said.
“This is total fraud. And how the FBI, and Department of Justice—I don’t know, maybe they’re involved—but how people are allowed to get away with this is stuff is unbelievable. This election was rigged. This election was a total fraud,” T***p said.
Later, T***p accused mainstream news outlets and social media companies of ignoring or censoring what he said or what his legal team has said in recent days.
“They make it like we don’t have evidence. We have evidence all over the place,” T***p said on Sunday, pointing to hundreds of sworn affidavits that were issued from people who claimed irregularities or fraud.
Secretaries of state in several states have denied there was any fraud or irregularities that would be enough to overturn the election.
Scary, indeed.
Marilyn, I’ve not read many of your recent posts, but enough to think I know re. this, which I’ll pose as a question:
Why in the world would you (or anyone) belive anything of importance that Trump says? Unless it is multiply attested by numerous reliable sources?
Howard I said it before. This is attested to all over the US and often sources in Europe. If you’re only following mainstream US news sources you are getting manipulated Leftist propaganda.
Thanks, Marilyn. There is something, for sure, to left vs. right. But we’re prone to reductionist thinking and taking that too far. I’m quite aware of media bias, propaganda, etc…. BOTH right and left. Frankly, it seems more severe from the right (e.g., Fox News, which has operated, under Trump, almost like a nation-state run media, with a massive “null curriculum”.
So, if you would give me a couple of the alternate sources you consider more unbiased and objective, I’d honestly appreciate it and check them out.
And my question remains re. on what basis one would trust what Trump says rather than strongly suspect its opposite is true.
