Happy Sunday!

This will be a quick post because I have to work a double today and I slept in a little here this morning.

Yesterday went differently than I had planned — I forgot that I needed to get all the final paperwork together for the home improvement loan application, so that I can mail it off Monday morning.

So that’s what I did for most of the day, instead of work on the novel, but at least it’s all done and I can mail it out tomorrow morning. And I did yoga yesterday and also took a walk — what a gorgeous afternoon it was!

And today is beautiful again, too. The drive to town is going to be wonderful!

I want to make a quick stop at the store to buy a token gift for the retired Minister. I’m seeing him and his wife later today, and tomorrow is his birthday. So I just want to find him something simple but faith-related.

Anyway!

Last night, my new friend and I chatted again for 3 hours. And we decided that on Tuesday, we’re going to have another lunch date!! So, that’s exciting. We will probably be going here:

I will keep you posted!!

Okay. Here’s this!

Meanwhile–

August 1st was Jim Carroll’s heavenly birthday. So here’s this–

Two of my all-time favorite heroes in one photo together! Keith Richards and Jim Carroll on stage in NYC, around 1980-81 — and, yes, Jim was really tall.

And FYI — Keith was instrumental in getting Jim a record deal with Atlantic Records, although Keith had been hoping to get him a deal on Rolling Stones Records! Anyway. Here they are– Happy Heavenly Birthday, Jim!

And here’s this!

Keith and his legendary snake skin boots!

And here’s this!!

While we wait 3 more days for Nick Cave and Colin Greenwood to take the stage in Norway–

Nick Cave in Berlin. I’m thinking this is close to 40 (!!) years ago now. I never get tired of looking at these photos from his room back then:

And that is it! I gotta scoot!

Have a great Sunday, wherever you are in the world!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

I leave you with this gem!

Classic Johnny Cash, “I Walk the Line”. 1956. Enjoy, gang!

“I Walk The Line”

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I find it very, very easy to be true
I find myself alone when each day is through
Yes, I’ll admit that I’m a fool for you
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

As sure as night is dark and day is light
I keep you on my mind both day and night
And happiness I’ve known proves that it’s right
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

You’ve got a way to keep me on your side
You give me cause for love that I can’t hide
For you I know I’d even try to turn the tide
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you’re mine, I walk the line

c- 1956 Johnny Cash
