Wow, was yesterday beautiful, gang. Just a gorgeous Easter Sunday. And I spent a couple of hours out in my yard, getting it ready for the Spring cleanup. It was such a beautiful day.

Today is rainy and not so wonderful, and I have to drive to town for the groceries…but on we go.

I uploaded another demo to Marilyn’s Room Video on YouTube yesterday.

This song, “Same Old Story,” I wrote in 1981, and it was one of my most popular songs. It was also the first song of mine that got covered by other singers in the West Village back then, which was a real thrill for me.

On the home front–

My sweet little stray cat, Blackie has died. I am really just heartbroken, gang. Just so sad.

However the trip down to see my dad was better than I was expecting. He was able to have lunch with me and he was coherent throughout. Then he fell asleep again.

I stayed two hours and he slept most of the time, but when he was awake, his spirits were good and his pain was sort of “manageable.” And the drive was beautiful. Just a stunning day, so that helped.

Okay, I seriously gotta scoot.
