I could spend the whole day doing this — just sitting and drinking coffee, that is. However.
Wow, do I have a ton of stuff to tackle today.
I have no less than 3 conference calls tomorrow. As of right now, I’m not ready for any of them. But the day is young… and the first most impressive thing that I did today was that I finally got out of bed.
Okay.
I can’t find any news that I want to re-post. The stuff I did see this morning was either unbelievably depressing and/or not actually new “news”. (Or just the general optics and noise, which I am so tired of that you cannot even possibly imagine.)
However, today is George Harrison’s Heavenly Birthday! He would have been 81 today. (In heaven, though, I suspect he is forever young.)
My favorite version of this Bob Dylan classic — “Forever Young,” by Joan Baez, live, in 1975.

Ross K. Nichols’ sub yesterday continued the deep dive into Exodus — this was great! (Ark of the Covenant)
Religion’s MOST Sacred Object – Dr. James D. Tabor (1 hr):
And this pertains to the above video — if you have a Bible that contains 2 Maccabees (for instance, the Douay-Rheims Version), go to Chapter 2 versus 4-7:
“ 4 It was also contained in the same writing, how the prophet, being warned by God, commanded that the tabernacle and the ark should accompany him, till he came forth to the mountain where Moses went up, and saw the inheritance of God.
5 And when Jeremias came thither he found a hollow cave: and he carried in thither the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door.
6 Then some of them that followed him, came up to mark the place: but they could not find it.
7 And when Jeremias perceived it, he blamed them, saying: The place shall be unknown, till God gather together the congregation of the people, and receive them to mercy.”

In other words, despite all of Hollywood’s various intrigues, the original Ark is perhaps still hidden in the cave.

Okay.
That’s really it for now. I really, really, really have to get started here today!!
Enjoy your Sunday, wherever you are in the world.
Thanks for visiting. I love you guys. See ya!

In an odd but personal twist, here is this morning’s listening-music! “The Glamorous Life” . Prince’s song, sung by Prince. (I hate to be too cryptic, but I think there are maybe 2 people left on Earth right now who can even fathom why this song still gets to me.) Anyway. Enjoy, gang!
“The Glamorous Life”
Don’t you get me
She wears a long fur coat of mink
Even in the summer time
Everybody knows from the coy little wink
The girl’s got a lot on her mind
She’s got
Big thoughts
Big dreams
And a big brown Mercedes sedan
What I think this girl
She really wants is to be in love with a man
She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don’t need a man’s touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain’t much
She saw him standing in the section marked
“If you have to ask, you can’t afford it” lingerie (Lingerie)
She threw him bread and said “Make me scream”
In the dark, what could he say? (What could he say?)
Boys with small talk and small minds
Really don’t impress me in bed
She said “I need a man’s man baby”
Diamonds and furs
Love would only conquer my head
She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don’t need a man’s touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain’t much
They made haste in the brown sedan
They drove to 55 Secret Street
They made love and by the seventh wave
She knew she had a problem
She thought real love is real scary
Money only pays the rent
Love is forever, that’s all your life
Love is heaven sent
It’s glamorous
Lead the glamorous life
She don’t need a man’s touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain’t much, it ain’t much
She wants to lead the glamorous life
She don’t need a man’s touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain’t much, it ain’t much
Lead the glamorous life
She don’t need a man’s touch
She wants to lead the glamorous life
Without love it ain’t much, it ain’t, ain’t, ain’t much
