Was that cool, or what??

Wow, so the eclipse was incredible out here in the Hinterlands!

Not quite as dark as it got up in Cleveland

Cleveland yesterday at 3:15 in the afternoon!

But it did get really dark out here in Muskingum County. The schools must have closed for the eclipse, because plenty of neighbors and their kids were outside yesterday, watching the sky. (No one at all was wearing those crazy glasses, either.) And at the peak of the eclipse, it was dark enough that I couldn’t even see my neighbors anymore. And the occasional pickup trucks driving by had to have their headlights on.

I think I stared right at the eclipse for about 90% of it. And the most awesome thing, gang — about 2 hours later, when I sat down at the kitchen table to eat my dinner, I turned on the TV to watch “Vicar of Dibley” and I put my glasses on…

And I couldn’t see a fucking thing! Everything was insanely blurry. So I took my glasses off and I could see the TV perfectly. It was incredible. And I looked around my kitchen: I could see the clock without squinting; I could see the houses across the road through the screen door perfectly. It was amazing.

It’s not as perfect this morning but my eyesight is still better than it’s been in decades. So between eclipses and pearl powder with organic castor oil… I’m planning on throwing the glasses away. One day. Soon. I hope…

Okay.

Here’s today’s stuff:

Posted on Bannon’s War Room, but originally from Zero Hedge:

“Social media posts urging people not to take ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19 have been taken down by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).”

Listening- music from late last night!!

Another one from Linda Ronstadt’s Simple Dreams, 1977 — when I listen to this album now, gang, for the first time in decades, it amazes me that I still know every word to these songs! “Old Paint”. Enjoy, gang!

“Old Paint”

I ride an old paint
I lead an old dam
I’m going to Montana
To throw a houlihan
They feed in the coolies
They water in the draw
Their tails are all matted
Their backs are all raw

Ride around
Ride around real slow
The fiery and the snuffy are raring to go

Old Bill Brown
Had a daughter and a son
One went to Denver
And the other went wrong
His wife she died in a poolroom fight
And still he keeps singing from morning til night

Ride around
Ride around real slow
Well the fiery and the snuffy are raring to go

Well when I die
Take my saddle from the wall
Put it on my pony
And lead him from his stall
Tie my bones to his back
Turn our faces to the west
And we’ll ride the prairie
That we like the best

Ride around
Ride around real slow
Well the fiery and the snuffy are raring to go

Ride around
Ride around real slow
Well the fiery and the snuffy are raring to go
