The sun, that is!
I drove to town yesterday and was able to buy all my flowers for the summer. After a zoom meeting with the New Media Committee at the Dramatists Guild, I spent the afternoon getting all the flowers into the flower boxes, and now all three of the porches and the windows on the barn are full of flowers.
I still haven’t bought the portable fire pit yet, but other than that, I am totally ready for summer!

It seems like TWO new singles from the upcoming album, Wild God, by Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are dropping on May 29th —
“Hop Into My Coat” and “In the Sunday Rain”.
Pretty titles! I can’t wait to hear the songs. I’m guessing they will be dropped HERE (and on the usual streaming sites).

And I watched Unfrosted by Jerry Seinfeld on Netflix and found it really funny. It’s about how Kellogg’s created Pop Tarts.
You might have to be of a certain age to appreciate how wonderfully silly it is — and to recognize all the actors from days of yore, and to remember all the crazy commercials, gimmicks, and toys from the 1960s. I really just found it a nice break from everything else.

And I was also perusing some old clips from the original SNL days, with the Not Ready for Primetime Players. I stopped watching SNL back in the early 80s, because I just didn’t find it funny anymore. But re-watching these early clips made me laugh out loud again.
This clip below, in particular, was nothing short of iconic the night it aired. Just so fun. Everyone was singing it the next morning. If you aren’t old enough to have seen it when it aired in May of 1978, here it is again! (FYI – A wildly popular museum exhibit about Kind Tut’s tomb was in the US at this point in time.)
