And it’s only 8 o’clock in the morning!

It feels so great to have the house to myself again. Even though I spent all day, yesterday, cleaning that guest room — and I still have a big chunk of stuff to clear out of there, but it will have to wait now until Sunday. But it just feels so good to have my house back.

And what sweet cats they have and they are so happy to be able to get out of that guest room and investigate everything. They’d been in there for 6 months already. (I’m cat sitting them until whenever….)

And — the first thing I thought of when I awoke at 5am this morning was the DORA Award nomination!! (see yesterday’s’ post) I am so thrilled with that, gang. Even though Sandra does not think we will win — she knows the Toronto theater world and she says we are up against heavy hitters in our category, but I am still just so thrilled to be nominated.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds dropped another song from their upcoming album, Wild God (being released the end of August). It is called “Frogs”. I remember seeing some of these lyrics a while ago, in a Red Hand File, I think.

Anyway, it’s an intense song. An occasional disturbing lyric (!). It seems to be sort of like a love song, sort of a, well – I’m not really sure what the song is about, but here it is!
