Today, I am spending the entire day working on the screenplay. I have no laundry to do, no housecleaning, no errands to run!! Just me, here at my desk, on a really beautiful day.

Paul Simon released this song in the summer of 1980. By the time I moved to NYC, a few months later, it was a huge hit on Top 40 radio. Whenever I hear this song, I have a vivid memory of hearing it on a city bus at night in Manhattan. At that time, I was living briefly with a friend on E. 74th Street, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and everything about NYC was still brand-new to me.
Anyway. I love this song! “Late in the Evening,” 1980, from Paul Simon’s album One-Trick Pony. Enjoy, gang!!
