Wow, yesterday was intense

I am super glad it is today — meaning, a new day.

The senior care stuff was very challenging yesterday, gang. It just about wiped me out.

But part of what happened yesterday resulted in me having today OFF! Even though they asked me if I’d like to fill-in with another patient today (a double shift), I declined. I’m not worried about the money. I still have a TON of shifts ahead of me after today.

Which reminds me — for the next several days, I have to be out of the house very early, and a few of those days, I have to work double shifts, so I might not be able to post to the blog unless it’s really important.

Another reminder — Phil is planning to do a livestream tonight at 9PM Eastern. Check here later to confirm.

And that’s really all I have for today, although, I have to say, gang — there are tons of indications out there that White Hats are indeed in control all over the place.

In other news —

It looks like the first night of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ Wild God tour in Amsterdam was a HUGE success last night. There were tons and tons of videos and photos on Instagram this morning that were kind of breath-taking. The energy. The intensity. The joy.

Here’s one photo:

And here’s a performance of their new song “Conversion” from last night. Just incredible!

They are in Amsterdam again tonight.

And then on Sunday and Monday, they are in Berlin. You can buy tickets HERE.

And that is it for today. I will be back here to post whenever I can, over the next several days.

Enjoy your Friday, wherever you are in the world.

If you are in the path of Hurricane Helene, sending you strength and prayers and light.

Driving-to-town music from yesterday. The late, great Lou Reed, “Sally Can’t Dance.” From the fall of 1974.

I bought this album at the local Woolworth’s store when I was 14. In fact, I bought a lot of iconic albums at that specific store over the years — it was within walking distance of our house. I bought Exile on Main St there. And The New York Dolls’ In Too Much Too Soon. A bunch of Bowie albums, too.

And back then, the little area of Columbus we lived in was really just in the middle of nowhere. And for most of the years we lived there, I wasn’t old enough to drive. Thank god for record departments in local discount stores!! (And babysitting jobs!!)

Okay. “Sally Can’t Dance.” From1974. Enjoy.
