Here Comes Wednesday!

And I have the whole day off!!!

As you likely know, Phil cancelled last night in favor of family and watching the NY Yankees play ball… but he is supposed to be on tonight, instead.

Check here later to confirm.

This was very, very interesting.

Nino Rodriguez — Diddy Plot Thickens! Nobody Is Safe..Did Oprah Winfrey Help Take Down Michael Jackson? (40 mins):

The plot thickens as more names allegedly come to surface in one of the biggest scandals in entertainment history..Do they all link and connect together to even bigger scandals like Oprah Winfrey’s connection to the downfall of Michael Jackson? You decide..

I cannot embed the video because it is on Bitchute, but here is the link. Nino talks about all this with a producer from MTV:

And that is it for the “news” today. Between now and Election Day, I think I will tear my hair out… daily. We are drowning in optics right now, gang. I can barely stomach any of it. But onward.

In other news!!!

Nick Cave sent out a great Red Hand File yesterday!! Just confirming what we already know– the Wild God tour is incredible!

However, mostly he was talking about how he and the band are feeling about this incredible tour. He says, in part:

The shows are outstanding, feel deeply musical, and we are enjoying them immensely. Those couple of hours on stage are intense and concentrated and there is a feeling of supreme metaphysical possibility where anything can happen, and frequently does. When performing, I experience an aliveness where I feel close to the living and to the dead. It seems that the show affords both band and audience moments of acute spiritual intimacy and communion, unlike anything that can be found outside of our own particular cathedrals – sex, nature, religion, identity, whatever. The new songs seem purpose-built for the live experience...

You can read it in full HERE.

And speaking of the tour…

Some photos from Zagreb. The show seemed even more intense there, if that is even possible!

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds play Prague tomorrow night!! You can buy tickets here.

The following night, they play Munich, but it is sold out.

And here’s a new feature I’ve decided to add to the blog, at least for a little while!

Remember how it used to be popular to ask, “What would Jesus do?” when you were faced with some sort of moral or ethical question or dilemma?

in 2009, a really great book came out, called: What Would Keith Richards Do? Filled with actual quotes of things Keith Richards had said in random interviews over the span of about 4 decades, and presented as affirmative wise advice or affirmations to help guide you in your very complicated life. It is mostly incredibly funny.

For years, I kept this book in the guest room, but yesterday, I moved it into my room — on my night table, to be exact. I decided to randomly choose a topic each morning and share the result with you here!

This morning’s entry [drum roll]: From Chapter 5, “Daily Affirmations on Society”. Keith’s response on being a bad example for society:

“If they [the police] hadn’t come smashing through my front door, no one would’ve known what example I was setting.”

So now, I guess, just sort of meditate on that and enjoy your day!!

All righty!

Yes, I’m currently in a Goat’s Head Soup phase, after my friend sent me that video the other day of the backing tracks to “Angie”. And I am finding the album to be an uncanny inspiration for both the memoir I am working on (covering 1971-1980), as well as a screenplay I’m developing that is a subsection of the memoir!

Today, it’s the actual full song, “Angie,” from 1973. Iconic. Enjoy!
