Not Me Anytime Soon!!

Well, unfortunately, gang, I heard back from the Literary/Editorial company with the final quote for doing my eBook projects and there is absolutely no way I can afford it — not even a little bit.

Wow. I was totally not expecting that.

So it looks like I will have to set aside some time soon — maybe in those 14 seconds I’ll have directly after Sandra and I turn in the proposal for the TV project — and start way back at square one. Re-learn it all. Watch all the tutorial videos on LULU and make all the changes myself and then re-publish all the eBooks.

And, hopefully, get them all back online before my new novel comes out.

I guess my new mantra is going to be: “I have all the time in the world!”(Hopefully I will convince myself.)

Me. Maybe.

The snow has still not melted but the temperatures are once again getting up there, gang!

Today it’s supposed to go as high as 50 degrees Fahrenheit. But since we had gotten so much snow, it’s still going to take a few days of above-freezing temperatures to get rid of it all.

But at least I was able to finally turn off that milk house heater this morning. I don’t know what I would have done without it this winter, though, gang.

I’ve had it for 3 years already but this was the first winter I had to use it nonstop for several weeks in a row. It worked great! But my electric bill (and my heating bill) are, well, I guess you can guess!

Meanwhile, Kon Tiki of the Great Outdoors can sense the shift in the weather. And even though there’s still all that snow outside the windows, she is really wanting to get back out there. She paces like crazy. Goes from window to window. Knocks things over. Stands at the kitchen door and stares at it, then at me, etc.

I really, really hope I can let her go back outside tomorrow. We shall see.

Okay!

Sandra and I are almost done with the proposal.

We worked over the phone for about 2 hours yesterday. Then I revamped the summaries of episodes 1 & 2, and sent them back over to her to look at. And she’s working on the cover letter. And then we send it off!

Oh!

Don’t forget, if you get BET+, be sure to watch “The Ms. Pat Show” this week for part 2 of Sandra’s guest role on the show!

Other than that, I’m back in that headspace of getting back to work. Being a caregiver and putting everybody else first.

Since it’ll be 50 degrees out there today, I hope my client will need me to run errands today. That would be nice!

I’m actually in a much better mood about all of it than I was expecting. I guess I’ve just been focused on how productive these days off have been. I’m in a really good place. So on we go.

Meanwhile.

Here’s this.

And here’s this!!

Keith perhaps also smoking in Tokyo in 1990, but the photo is cropped!!

And here’s this!!

3 happy creatures!!

Keith, Patti, and a pup on a boat!!

And oddly enough, that is it for today.

So I guess I will get myself together here and head to town.

Have a terrific Tuesday, wherever you are in the world.

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

I leave you with this!!

It’s cued up on my travelling-to-town playlist!!

(Is it because I’m hittin’ the road today, too? I don’t know!)

But here’s Ray Charles and his absolute classic, “Hit the Road Jack”, 1960. Sing along, snap your fingers, and enjoy, gang!!

  1. That’s a lot but you’re handling it with grace … Take it one step at a time, pace yourself, and don’t rush the re-learning.
