So far, so good, gang!

Posted yesterday on BRICSNews:

“JUST IN: 🇷🇺🇺🇸 Russian President Putin is open to discussing a ceasefire with Ukraine if negotiations are led by US President-elect Donald Trump.

Putin has ruled out any significant territorial concessions and demands that Ukraine abandon its NATO membership ambitions.”

And posted this morning on BRICSNews:

“🇨🇳🇷🇺 China says all parties must remain calm and exercise restraint following Ukraine’s use of US and UK supplied missiles to strike Russian territory.

China’s stance of encouraging all parties to de-escalate the situation and commit to a political resolution of the Ukraine crisis remains unchanged.

China will continue to play a constructive role in this regard.”

And our Daily Feature!

What Would Keith Richards Do?

From Chapter Five: Daily Affirmations. The topic is Strength & Suffering.

Keith advises us:

“At the end of the day you don’t mess with me. There’s no point in doing it.”

Methinks he probably means that! And I’m guessing it’s something we should each adopt for ourselves, as well! If a certain situation comes up in your world, without hesitation, just say: Don’t mess with me. There’s no point in doing it. And see what happens!!

**********

Okay!

Yes!

We have snow here today!! I don’t think it will amount to much, but I guess winter is arriving, as we speak (type). And many of my neighbors have already been doing that thing they do so well: Putting up all their Christmas Decorations even before Thanksgiving…. CRIMONY!!! Who has time for this???

I’m actually a little (a lot) (hugely, in fact) apprehensive about putting up the tree and all the decorations this year because I now have SO MANY frisky cats around here!! And 5 of them have never seen a decorated Christmas tree before!!! (Heavy, heavy sigh….Methinks I can already see fragile Christmas ornaments flying all over the place.)

Anyway.

In addition to beginning firearms training, and my ongoing courses in various Christian Antiquities with James Tabor, the Mondly App just updated it’s French courses in Business Conversation and grammar, so I am back to studying French again everyday!! (Yeah, well, I’m not really sure how I’m managing all this, but you know, life sort of takes over and I simply go with the flow. It feels so incredible to have my life back.)

Sandra and I are scheduled to chat early tomorrow afternoon — now that the run of the other play is over, it will now be all about preparing for the staged reading of “The Guide to Being Fabulous” Off-Broadway. I will tell you more details when I can, gang. But it is sufficient to say, that my life is just hugely changing right now. And I’m very excited about it.

And this new daily “Creativity Routine” between Valerie and me is proving to be very productive so far. The goal is to produce something/anything each day, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day.

So far, I’ve been able to work on my new memoir a little bit each day, for 4 days in a row. And also over the past 4 days, Valerie has done sketches, drawings, and begun a new painting(!!) . So this really is working, gang. And it feels incredible.

*************

Okay. I gotta scoot! I have an afternoon shift today, followed by one of those Required Skills/Training Incentives at the agency’s offices this evening. Yay.

[AND! The entire meeting is in French, and for Biblical Scholars only, and firearms are REQUIRED! So I gotta get moving here.]

[I am, of course, just kidding.]

Enjoy your Wednesday, wherever you are in the world!!

Last night’s listening-music-by-Candlelight!!!

Remember this one, gang??? Such a HUGE hit from my wee bonny girlhood in Cleveland!! Okay, gang. Enjoy!!!!

“A Man Without Love” ❤️ Engelbert Humperdinck 🎤 1968

Another quick one!

Well, thank goodness I don’t have to work another double shift today, but I do have to head out early. So this is a quick one.

I think Phil’s livestream from last night tells us what we really need to know right now. And, personally, I was especially excited to hear that “Putin is on deck”!

Here it is if you missed it: (2 hrs):

https://rumble.com/philgodlewski/live

And that’s it for now!

Have a great day, gang.

Thanks for visiting!!! I love you guys. See ya!

Quick post!

I gotta scoot here, gang, because I have a long double shift today.

But I wanted to at least post that Phil is allegedly going live tonight with GREAT news. It is supposed to start at 8PM Eastern time, but check here later to confirm.

So with that “great news” in mind, I will once again refrain from re-posting all the WWIII scenarios that are all over the place this morning.

Meanwhile….

Yes, now that I am super excited to be flying to NYC more often, Spirit Airlines declares bankruptcy today! However, they intend to remain in business as long as they can. So we will see how it all plays out. [And oddly enough, I applied for a Spirit Airlines credit card last week, but was turned down because of my recent bankruptcy….}

**************

I leave you with last night’s listening-by-candlelight-music while lying in bed, smiling!! I had it on repeat for quite a while.

I got SO MUCH work done on the memoir notes yesterday, gang. it was amazing.

Sting’s massive hit from 1993, “Fields of Gold”. Off his Ten Summoner’s Tales album. Enjoy.

Incoming!

Yes, and by that I mean: bullshittery is incoming.

Everyone — including Charlie Ward’s news update today, and even Simon Parks’ update (!!), which is never on the same page with anyone else’s intel, are jumping on the same “WWIII” bandwagon this morning.

I’m guessing that maybe this is why they still won’t let Phil do a livestream yet? To try to get this idea that we are on the “brink of war because of Biden” to stick? And that any input from Phil is going to send us all looking in another direction?

Obviously, I just don’t know.

But what I do know, is that Biden is dead (and has been dead since March 2019), so that is not “Biden” essentially declaring war on Putin by way of Ukraine; it’s just some guy doing it.

And Putin and Xi are Trump’s allies, so I’m not buying any of this sudden brink of war narrative, gang.

And Simon even sent out an X re-post just now:

“BREAKING: Donald Trump confirms he is prepared to declare a national emergency and use the military assets to reverse the Biden invasion.”

I’m guessing that you cannot invade another country from the afterlife — although, I am not 100% certain of this since I have no recollection of the afterlife, even though I’m guessing I’ve been a resident there many, many times. (This is based solely on how exhausted I usually feel.)

Anyway. No actual Biden = no actual missiles going anywhere, in my book. So the narrative must really be that Trump is going to save the world. (Which is actually fine with me.)

One really nice thing about today is that I have the whole day off, which means I am not at the mercy of anyone else’s TV today, so I will not be forced to watch Fox News regurgitate this same “missiles at Russia” narrative all day long…

*******************

Well, it is over! No, not the election!! (Well, yes, that is over.)

But so is Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ Wild God Tour of Europe & the UK.

And, as I had suspected, the sold out show in Paris last night looked massively amazing. (The only thing that disappoints me a little bit is that it seems Nick got a haircut — maybe in London? Just when it was finally getting to that length that I absolutely love! Gone, baby, gone.)

Anyway. Here are 2 photos from Paris last night. (The 2nd one is missing the credit, sorry. It got cut off, unintentionally.)

******************

And, for now, the Daily Feature continues!

What Would Keith Richards Do?

And our random selection came from — you guessed it — Chapter Five: Daily Affirmations. And the topic today is MUSIC.

One of the many, many, many, things Keith has to say about music:

“There is something about music. When you like it, you want to find out where it came from.”

And this statement, coming from a man who was so instrumental (no pun intended) in creating my brain and, in essence, giving birth to my whole life, beginning when I was 12 — well, it looks like a simple statement, but to me, it says everything. [Hence, my new memoir-in-progress. ]

Similarly, you may recall that I posted this a few months ago, and it resonates for me in the same way as the quote above:

And that segues into that new thing Valerie and I are doing — texting each other every day about what we got done on a given project and how long we spent doing it.

This is in order to help each of us get back on a daily routine of doing our creative stuff. Me — writing; Val — painting.

And it was incredibly successful for me yesterday, gang!

I only spent 45 minutes on my memoir yesterday, before having to get ready for work, but so much stuff came out of my brain!! Including the title of the memoir:

Joy — The Shortest Season: A Memoir 1971-1980

The memoir is about the various fathers and father figures I had in my early life and how they shaped me into becoming who I am.

This is the second in a trio of memoirs. The first being In the Shadow of Narcissa — a memoir of my childhood, covering my adoption in 1960 up to early 1971, when I was 10 years old. (Still in progress.)

The third memoir will be about my early life in NYC — Manhattan, Mon Amour. (1980-1989). Basically, the sex, drugs, and rock & roll memoir.

Anyway, I was just thrilled with the amount of work I got done in 45 minutes yesterday. It’s all notes, but the notes took me down roads that I was not expecting. Including, but not limited to(!!):

This amazing house we lived in where so many cool things happened to my brain — we lived here from July 1971 to early 1974, up until my dad left us:

And, this might seem creepy, but it is not intended to be.

These are the 2 bedrooms I had — one in 1975 and one in 1979 — where I attempted suicide. (And no, I did not attempt suicide because the rooms are so god-awful ugly!!) Followed by a photo of the basement where I was raped by 2 guys from the high school during Christmas vacation in 1974.

What fascinates me is that I found these photos online yesterday, on zillow.com — a site that lists houses that are or have recently been for sale. And so these rooms are simply out there in the world now and have nothing physically to do with me and my life anymore. But when I found the photos, I was like, holy shit.

My bedroom from 1975, but as it looks now
My bedroom from 1979, but as it looks now
The basement from 1974, but as it looks now — which is basically, exactly the same.

I have no idea what inspired me to look for these photos of the old houses yesterday (there are a total of 8 that I lived in from 1971-1980).

And I was certainly not expecting the photos to be a veritable touchstone, opening up the whole memoir, to the point where a title even came out. So it was a really fruitful 45 minutes yesterday.

Today, I have all day to work on the memoir, so I am really excited about all this, gang.

************

Okay.

Enjoy your Monday wherever you are in the world!!!

Thanks for visiting.

***********

I posted this song recently, but I leave you with this again, because I was not expecting that title to come out of me yesterday — and I think I played this song 723 times yesterday after that.

(By the way– if you aren’t aware of it, my middle name is Joy, and that is connected to all of this stuff, too.)

A huge Top 40 radio hit from when I was 11: “Joy” By Apollo 100. (Based on Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring”.) Enjoy, gang.

“Do you think she spoke too soon?”

Well, yesterday, my worn and tattered, 4-year-old Trump flag got all tangled up in my autumnal front door decorations, and so rather than have it completely disintegrate by Inauguration Day, I officially took it down last evening when I got home from my shift.

Here is what it looked like when it was brand new and not so tattered:

And now it is at least clean, and folded, and stored away for posterity. I loved that flag. I wonder if my neighbors will be astounded to discover that it is now gone?!

****************

Okay!!

On a similar note — I love these guys!!! I am so grateful for them. I guess when heroes are in the process of flying around on their private jet and saving the free world, they dine on fare from McDonalds:

Okay. Phil is supposed to do a livestream TONIGHT at 8PM Eastern. I guess we shall see!!! Check here later to confirm.

*************

And tonight is the final show of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ Wild God Tour. It is sold out — in Paris. I cannot even imagine how spectacular the show is going to be, gang.

Here is George Vjestica (Bad Seeds guitar player) in Paris just now:

************

And here is Keith from a few years ago, but I love this photo! I found it yesterday on Instagram.

************

And speaking of Keith….

Since everything else is changing, I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to do the Daily Feature, but for now, here it is!

Our random selection today came from Chapter Three: The Philosophy of Keith!! And the topic is BOREDOM.

Keith says:

“Boredom? To me that’s an illness.”

And I don’t know about you, gang, but I can seriously relate. I have never been the type of person who easily gets bored. It just doesn’t happen. My mind is always going and going and going.

************

Okay!

Another new thing in my life!!

In two weeks, I begin firearms training!

The one and only time in my life when I tried to learn how to shoot a gun (a rifle), I was 17 years old and absolutely terrible at it. But we’ll see how it goes this time. And this time it will be primarily a pistol.

I’m taking the classes HERE: Buckeye Shooting Center:

************

And on that note —

Today is the first day that Valerie and I are doing our new creativity/accountability schedule plan — whatever the heck you’d call it!

But we’re both excited to get started. (See yesterday’s post.) And that means I gotta scoot, because I also have to work another (shorter) double today.

So enjoy your Sunday, wherever you are in the world!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

*************

I leave you with this! Continuing that “Americans with Guns” theme!

From Johnny Horton — his huge hit from 1959, “The Battle of New Orleans”. Enjoy, gang!!

Back to normal?

But what IS normal, right? A big question!!

Mostly, I mean that I start back to work today, after having had 5 days off.

But also — there is just less and less and LESS news to post here, gang. I mean, besides all the news that you can easily get everywhere else now. Which is a great thing.

I still check all the channels and videos, but there is nothing that requires re-posting here. If I find something, I will, of course, post it.

Phil should be live tonight at 8PM Eastern time. Check here later to confirm. His livestreams are going to remain informative until at least the inauguration.

So it seems that I’m sort of getting my life back. I’m going to keep my Trump flag flying until Inauguration Day. It is a bit tattered, since it’s been out there for 4 solid years, in all sorts of insane weather– including tornadoes. But I guess, once I take it down and fold it up and put it away in late January… I will officially have my life back.

Meanwhile, Valerie in Brooklyn and I are embarking on a plan to get our creativity onto a daily schedule again. She’s a painter and I am, of course, a writer. So each day/night, we’re going to text each other a quick summary of what we each worked on and for how long we worked on it that day.

A type of “accountability” schedule. To get ourselves back into the old, pre-war headspace of painting and writing every day. Yay.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds played Birmingham last night. and tomorrow they play a SOLD OUT show in Paris and then the Wild God European/UK Tour is over.

It seems like it was an unbelievably successful, beautiful, emotional tour, gang.

Here’s a photo from Birmingham last night:

And beginning in April 2025:

Meanwhile,,,,

Here’s the Daily Feature.

What Would Keith Richards Do?

This is our random selection — yet again, from Chapter Five: Daily Affirmations, and the topic is SURVIVAL & BOUNCING BACK. I found today’s selection oddly timely and personal [see my post from yesterday]!

Speaking to a NYC audience at a 9/11 tribute concert, 23 years ago, Keith said:

“You know, I gotta feeling this town’s gonna make it.”

As usual, he was right.

**********

And that is it for now, gang.

Enjoy your Saturday, wherever you are in the world.

Thanks for visiting!

I love you guys. See ya!

**********

This morning’s breakfast- listening music!!

Nat King Cole’s, “Straighten Up & Fly Right”. 1943. Enjoy, gang.

44 Years Ago Today!!

On November 15th 1980, I moved to New York City. Just a wee bonny, intensely fucked-up, sexually abused, suicidal, heavy drinker/drug-taking, but totally headstrong and fearless-despite-all-fears 20-year-old songwriting lass from Ohio… determined to make Manhattan my home!

And it became my home for nearly 30 years.

Post 9/11, though, NYC changed a lot. It really became a horrible place. And prior to Tuesday, the last time I had been to NYC was in September 2019, just before the plandemic & lockdowns. I was no longer a fan of NYC at that point. I went there mostly for business stuff and to visit friends. But I didn’t enjoy the vibe of Manhattan any more.

The photo above is of the apartment building I lived in during my first marriage — to Chong Foun Kee. The Camelot building on the corner of W.45th & 8th Avenue. We were married at City Hall on April 9th 1981. I took the above photo on Wednesday, when Wayne & I were out walking around. My hotel was 3 blocks from the old apartment building! (And it is still in great shape.) (Whereas, the hustler bar that used to be directly across the street from our window has now been torn down.)

Well, anyway. I am back home now in the Hinterlands, gang, but I am here to tell you that I FELL IN LOVE with NYC all over again!!!! And I cannot wait to go back. And, in essence, make it my second home.

Wow.

The vibe there has officially changed. Again.

And while Spirit Airlines is the “no-frilliest” no frills airline I have ever encountered, it makes flying to and from LaGuardia an absolute breeze. Honestly, gang.

You have to pay extra for EVERYTHING on Spirit airlines, but who fucking cares? Not only did they get me there and back without any hassle at all, they actually arrived a half hour early at both ends of the trip. And at LaGuardia, they have an entire terminal to themselves. It took me, literally, less than 2 minutes to get through Security (with TSA pre-check). And, since it is not part of the main “LaGuardia madness,” it is a breeze to get picked up & dropped off by your car service.

If you have access to Spirit airlines where you live, I can recommend them, as long as you don’t care that there are no frills whatsoever. And, YES, it cost me only $80 each way. (!!!!)

And my no-frills hotel room cost me $155 a night.

Even someone such as MYSELF can readily afford this!!

**************

Okay. So I’m home. [Oh, and PS: I did see Sandra and the new play, but I still can’t post about stuff yet!!]

I did keep on top of all the politics stuff while I was in my no-frills hotel room. And it’s all pretty much the same news now: GREAT, as long as you are not a Deep Stater, or a hardcore Leftist, Neo Marxist, Trump hater.

Oh, and Wayne and I saw a really long line — meaning about 3 blocks long– of what looked like migrants getting on to private buses. With a bunch of official-looking men in bright orange vests, keeping everyone — men, women, children with a ton of luggage — in an organized queue.

Wayne & I just stared at it, you know? It’s really happening, gang. They’re all heading back home. (Although, I’m of the opinion that most of the “migrants” were from South American Central Casting and were harmless and easily traceable with their White-Hat-sanctioned cellphones…)

Anyway. Trump and the White Hats really are already Making New York City Great Again!! And I can’t wait to go back.

***************

So the news is brief today.

CHARLIE WARD DAILY NEWS WITH PAUL BROOKER FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER 2024 (12 mins):

**************

This shocked the hell out of me.

I read it while waiting for my plane to leave for NYC.

From Real Raw News — November 11th:

Deep Stater Jack Smith Convicted of Treason and Executed at GITMO

Deep Stater and Trump hater Jack Smith was executed at Guantanamo Bay on Friday after being convicted of treason at a military tribunal on November 4. […]

[…] Admiral Crandall presented evidence showing that Smith had received from the DOJ a $4.2 million stipend and $86,000/day per diem during the time he investigated President Trump. He also produced documents, obtained from Smith’s digital devices, proving Smith had a personal vendetta against Trump. […]

[…] Admiral Crandall told Smith the Deep State’s warfare and lawfare against Trump was at an end and that all like him would eventually face tribunals. He even said to Smith that the Deep State was retiring his body double and abandoning its indictment of Trump.

“You’ve lost, detainee Smith,” the admiral said. “You were destined to lose.” […]”

ALSO — from today:

Marines Arrest Mayorkas

On November 10, White Hats caught up with and arrested a man they had sought since the day the illegal Biden regime appointed him secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. The White Hat council referred to him as the “Queen of Spades,” the third most wanted felon in the White Hat’s deck of Deep State despots […]

White Hats last week rejoiced upon hearing that Alejandro Mayorkas was in custody awaiting a flight to Guantanamo Bay.

The arrest, a source in General Eric M. Smith’s office told Real Raw News, occurred in Chantilly, Virginia, a mile south of Dulles International Airport, where Mayorkas deboarded a commercial flight from Dubai. U.S. Marines possessing Mayorkas’ itinerary intercepted his chauffeured limousine on U.S. Route 50 as Mayorkas, the driver, and a bodyguard traveled from the airport to Alexandria.  […]”

Sunday night, November 17th, the Wild God Tour of Europe & the UK ends in Paris!! But the show is sold out.

And our Daily Feature!!

What Would Keith Richards Do?

Our random selection comes once again from Chapter Five: Daily Affirmations, and the topic is EMPIRE. And it is typical explosive Keith!!

In regards to why the British Government didn’t offer him a knighthood, Keith replied:

“They know what I would’ve said…they knew I’d tell them where they could put it.”

I’m guessing that you will remember these resounding words if ever you don’t get a British knighthood, so take heart, gang. You’re in good company!

***********

And that is it for today!!

I have back-to-back doubles again this weekend, but they don’t start super early, so I will probably still be able to post to the blog in the morning.

I leave you with this, gang!!

For some reason, this song is how I feel about NYC now — as if it were a person, a living thing. In a way, it is!! I played it on my phone yesterday morning, alone in my hotel room, packed and getting ready to go back to the airport, and it actually left a tear streaming out of my eye…

So here’s to the wee bonny gal I was, 44 years ago today!!!

From 1967, the folk classic by Peter, Paul & Mary, “Leaving On A Jet Plane” (written by John Denver). Enjoy, gang.

A Bunch of Stuff!

Wayne and I went to Johnny Depp’s art exhibit this afternoon—“A Bunch of Stuff…”

Wow. Intense. Not a “feel good” kind of thing, but I was sort of expecting that.

We enjoyed it, though. Well, we were glad we went and we went through it twice and then bought magnets and postcards in the gift shop!

From the exhibit!!

We are resting in my room now and then Japanese food for dinner! Then off to see Sandra’s play!🥰❤️🥰

Good Morning from NYC!

Valerie and I had a great time yesterday. We had a 3-hr lunch together. Pizza!! Yay. But then she had to head back to Brooklyn because the traffic in this town is a nightmare. It took her 2 hours to drive back to Brooklyn from Times Square.

We hadn’t seen each other in 5 years(!!!), so 3 hours did not feel like enough. But I promised her that now that Trump is back, I would be coming back to NYC more often.

Also, I realized yesterday, while waiting on the corner of W48th and 8th Avenue for the light to change— I am only 3 blocks away from where Chong and I lived when we were married!!! I was sort of dumbfounded by this. Everything looked familiar and yet so much had also changed.

Okay!! Today I have lunch with Wayne, then Johnny Depp’s art exhibit in Chelsea, then dinner, and then we will finally get to see Sandra in the new play!!!!

Have a great Wednesday, gang, wherever you are in the world!!! Thanks for visiting. I love you guys!!!!💖🗽💖 See ya!
