• 196,000 Active Duty
• 900,000 Reserve
• 102,000 Paramilitary

Let’s round that off and say 1.2 million, so the 300,000 conscripts would suggest 1.5 million total. However, AFU Commander in Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi in his interview with The Economist in December said total AFU strength was 700,000 personnel.

Such thus begs the question of where almost 800,000 unaccounted for AFU personnel are?”

“Note, it is unlikely the AFU could hide 800,000 unregistered KIA and WIA, so the likely answer is a combination of higher than reported losses, desertion, and “ghost soldiers” whom only exist on paper.

The last one is particularly compelling, as Pre-War Russian infosphere channels had noted the claimed reserve force of the AFU was inconsistent with their reported equipment levels. That’s really kind of it for today, gang.

As usual, my schedule changed drastically at the last minute. I was only supposed to work about 5 hours over the next three days (holiday weekend) — now I’m working 4 shifts over the next 3 days.

And before all that begins today, I have to drive 25 miles in the opposite direction to drop off my loan application for the new roof. For some reason , it has to be taken by hand and put into a dropbox at the main government building in the County Seat (aka: “impossible parking” on a weekday). So I’m super excited about all that driving/parking insanity before driving 50 more miles in the opposite direction and going to work…

Anyway. If it means that maybe, just maybe, somebody somewhere will loan me enough money to get a new roof, it is worth it. So on we go, right?

On another personal note —

Another court document arrived in the mail yesterday, from the United States Bankruptcy Court — this one, ruling in my favor for a BIG change. And something interesting has occurred.

For decades, my middle name has been “Jaye” — this is my professional name and it appears on absolutely everything, including all my legal documents and taxes, etc.

But my actual, legal middle name is “Joy.” And now, all of the sudden, the United States Bankruptcy Court is referring to me as “Marilyn Joy Lewis.” Very jarring to see that, but perhaps this insertion of JOY into the whole thing, when a positive court ruling has finally arrived, is a good omen (???)

I guess we shall see!!
