Have you noticed, gang, that while more and more and more (and more) pronouns are being added to our surnames, the word “equal” is being vigorously erased from our social media consciousness, and being replaced with the word “equity”?
These words are not interchageable. Don’t be fooled by the “equ” part.
In fact, read the two paragraphs below and think very, very, very, very, very, very carefully. Thank you.
- “Equality means each individual or group of people is given the same resources or opportunities. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome.”
2. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. […]” (from the US Declaration of Independence)
In case you’re missing that point — you could be, say, a poor black she/her and while you are not equal to a rich white he/him, we can take money or property from rich white he/him and give it to poor black she/her to balance everything out. That’s fair!
What does that really mean, though ? It means we are saying that the poor black she /her is intriniscally unequal to the rich white he/him. He/him is greater than she/her by birth. And that the best we can hope for is to be “fair.”
Dangerous, indeed, right? This is how we weaponize language, gang.
I might add, now, after watching the video below, that equity has this other definition, as well:
“the value of the shares issued by a company.”
Curious, indeed, isn’t it?
Anyway. We continue to follow the story from Switzerland– and, btw, even General Flynn is giving a little credence to what is developing in Switzerland.
Similar to Bongino here in the US, Pascal Najadi, in Switzerland, is not Q-related at all, but very sort of “white hat awakening the masses,” in my opinion.
