Yesterday ended just as gloriously as it started out, gang. Weather-wise! It was such a beautiful evening here in the Hinterlands.
I finally finished both the updated résumé and new bio for Sandra and got it off to her around 4PM. And finally had everything off my plate — for a little while, anyway.
And what a beautiful feeling.
During dinner last night, I watched a really cool episode of The Avengers, from 1964 (Honor Blackman as Mrs. Gale — the Emma Peele character was not in the series yet.) (Honor Blackman is also famous for having played “Pussy Galore” in the James Bond movie, Goldfinger, and “Honey West” on TV!)
And in 1964, my aunt bought me a Honey West doll for my birthday!!! I was absolutely thrilled!

Anyway. I digress.
After dinner, I did yoga, took my shower, did one of the lessons in the online course I’m studying (again) on the Book of Genesis.
And then, at 9PM, when Phil’s livestream did not come on, I did something I’ve been wanting to do all summer!!
I sat out on my kitchen porch, with my Maine Coon cat, Kon Tiki of the Great Outdoors, and a visiting neighbor cat — that I call Ginger Boy. And I watched the sun go down, and watched all the fireflies blinking like crazy for as far as the eye could see. Listened to the birds singing, as they settled in for the night.
And, with nary a mosquito bothering me at all — I ate a Jonny Pop organic watermelon popsicle and just had the very best evening.
I had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO!!!! Nothing, zippo, zero, nada. Wow.
And when I went in for the night, I watched two more episodes of Yogi Bear from Season 4, followed by an utterly ridiculous episode of Huckleberry Hound!! And then I turned everything off and just listened to the night outside my open windows.
And here is a selfie from last evening — I could not believe how happy I looked, so I took a photo! (And FYI, I will be 63 in 11 days….)
If you are interested in reading an extremely condensed version of Sandra’s career — here is her new Bio. (For now! I’m guessing it’ll have to be tweaked a bit.)
Sandra Caldwell
Bio
“A true entertainer in every sense of the word…” – NY Times
“A black transgender woman of immense poise, beauty, and – pardon me, I can’t help it – charm…” – Variety
“A provocative entertainer combined with powerful vocal skills, Sandra Caldwell has it all…” –Toronto Star
Sandra Caldwell is a celebrated African American trans actress, singer, and writer whose 45+ year career extends throughout the worlds of film, television, and theater.
Starting out as a jazz singer – her first love – she performed with top orchestras in some of the world’s finest venues, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Newport Jazz Festival, and the White House Jazz on the Lawn series. In her early days, she was a fixture in the café society set in numerous nightspots across the country, also hosting the radio show, Sunday Afternoons with Sandra Caldwell on Jazz FM91 in Toronto.
On television, Sandra was seen in recurring roles in The Gilded Age, High Maintenance, The Book of Negroes, 19-2, Soul Food, and, as a series regular, in Little Men. She had guest-starring roles in such hit shows as Law & Order: SVU and Rookie Blue. Sandra was a featured performer in many TV movies, including Good Fences with Whoopie Goldberg, and Disney’s The Cheetah Girls.
Sandra’s film work includes the upcoming Jackie Shane and Milo & Millie, as well as memorable work in past films, such as Murder at 1600; Shall We Dance, and Maya Angelou’s directorial debut, Down in the Delta.
In theater, Sandra appeared in the musical Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Shubert Theater); the Original Workshop for Ragtime (Live Ent. Productions); the drama Coming Through Slaughter (Necessary Angel Theater, Toronto); and was nominated for a Dora Award, the Canadian Tony, for her work in Sophisticated Ladies (Sterling Productions, Toronto).
Notably, in 2017 in the NY Times, Sandra came out publicly as transgender while in rehearsals for her transgender leading role in the critically acclaimed “Charm” (MCC Theater).
Additionally, in 2020, she spoke candidly about transgender representation in the media, in the “enlightening and heartfelt” (- LA Times) Netflix documentary “Disclosure: Trans Lives on Screen”.
A bona fide heroine of today’s LGBTQ+ generation, Sandra’s long awaited self-penned, one-woman show, “The Guide to Being Fabulous”, is a jazz musical that tells the real story of Sandra Caldwell’s unparalleled life. From a young runaway, panhandling on the streets of DC, to the Moulin Rouge in Paris, to her role as Mama Morton in “Chicago” at the Stratford Festival (“4-Stars!” – Toronto Star), she has done it all and endured it all, without losing sight of her comedic timing, her turn of phrase, or her compassion.
Yes, an entertainer in every sense of the word; ladies and gentlemen, we give you…
Miss Sandra Caldwell

And this stuff just makes me nuts, gang.
The Neo Marxist cultural agenda to weaken the male sex and obliterate masculinity. Want to find out what they’re doing to little boys in US public schools (among other things)? It’ll make you sick.
Anyway, here it is, if you missed it. Tucker interviews Andrew Tate (2 hrs):
