But let’s start with last night.
Wow, what a privilege it was to be able to watch that incredible Trump rally at Madison Square Garden last night in the home of that husband & wife couple that I just adore (patients in my senior care job). They are both close to 90 and are serious Trump supporters, pro-America, level-headed, smart, funny people.
It was just a wonderful way to end the evening shift.
If you missed it, here is the replay (of the rally — not of my evening shift):
LIVE: President Trump in New York, NY (2 hrs 25 mins): (I don’t know why the video is not showing here, click the link to watch it.)
I ended the evening feeling really, really happy. I was coming off of 10 shifts in 6 days, the rally was exciting and it was so great to see a thing like that finally happen in NYC — my spiritual home. I just felt like this war is finally going to be over SOON. Wow.
But when I awoke to a text at 5AM from my dear friend Kara — she was confirming that we are doing dinner & a movie on November 8th (the Andrea Bocelli celebration film), but she also had a lengthy diatribe about why she hates Trump and fears that if he gets back in the White House he will end free speech entirely and the world will become Orwellian…
Good god, you know? Just when you think people are waking up.
Sadly, I’m used to (what’s left of) my family being against Trump, and most of my colleagues hating Trump, and some people who used to be among my dearest friends who now haven’t spoken to me in 4 years because they hate Trump… and now this thing from Kara at 5AM.
Just when you think people are awake and the war is almost over and that you’re not going to be alone anymore, and you’re going to have a place in the world again.
You know, it’s one thing to face this onslaught of the past 4 years by standing your ground and putting on the full armor of God every single fucking day — and watching your career disappear, your social life disappear, the world you thought you knew so well, disappear; even when Nick Cave, Keith Richards, and Bruce Springsteen publicly told people to get the vaccine, while here in the Hinterlands ,all around me, people of all ages were literally being killed by those shots — I still found a way to keep standing my ground, keep allowing myself to feel love for the world, keep getting up in the morning and fighting the fight.
But Kara?? My dear, unvaccinated, strong-willed, strong fighter Kara, absolutely hating Trump?? It was too much.
So I cried. And I texted her some links about MK Ultra, and Operation Mockingbird, and stuff about scientists being against the climate change agenda, and yet another link to a Phil video on rumble…
And then I tried to slog through my morning.
I’m really, really tired.
Anyway.

Okay. This other sad news just in — I’m hoping it’s a hardcore psyop/optics thing, as we wait for someone/anyone to Make England Great Again:
From disclose.tv:
“JUST IN – Tommy Robinson sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Tommy Robinson jailed for 18 months over Syrian refugee contempt of court“

And here are two bits of news, oddly related!!!
First, from MarkSteele(UK):
“Nobel Prize winner Dr. John F. Clauser signs the Clintel World Climate Declaration
[…] Clauser has publicly distanced himself from climate alarmism and this year he also joined the Board of Directors of the CO2 Coalition. In the announcement by the CO2 Coalition, Clauser was quoted in the following way:
‘The popular narrative about climate change reflects a dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people. Misguided climate science has metastasized into massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience. In turn, the pseudoscience has become a scapegoat for a wide variety of other unrelated ills. It has been promoted and extended by similarly misguided business marketing agents, politicians, journalists, government agencies, and environmentalists. In my opinion, there is no real climate crisis. There is, however, a very real problem with providing a decent standard of living to the world’s large population and an associated energy crisis. The latter is being unnecessarily exacerbated by what, in my opinion, is incorrect climate science.'[…]
AND ALSO THIS!!
From disclose.tv:
“NEW – Up to $41 billion in World Bank climate finance is unaccounted for: That is nearly 40% of all climate funds disbursed by the bank over the past 7 years, Oxfam says.”

In other news!
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds played Lisbon last night, and I know I keep saying this, but it looks like the show was just seriously off the charts! Wow. here are some photos from Instagram, but there were TONS of them and tons of videos, too.
Next, they play 2 nights in Belgium — Weds & Thursday, Oct. 30th & 31st. Buy tickets here.

Also, Nick Cave sent out a Red Hand File early this morning, wherein he explained what it takes for him to feel free — in art, faith, love. He said, in part:
As a songwriter, I am primarily concerned with artistic freedom – freedom of expression, belief and imagination. What it takes for me to pursue these freedoms – to feel genuinely free – has paradoxically something to do with order and constraint. I feel free to express myself and can access a greater quality of imagination when certain restrictions are put into place…

And last but certainly not least!
Our Daily Feature!
What Would Keith Richards Do?
Once again, we find ourselves in the never-ending Chapter Five: Daily Affirmations. And quite fortuitously, the topic today is OTHER PEOPLE. How interesting, right?
Keith advises: “You learn to take people as they come. It doesn’t matter where they come from. So you learn to size up people really quickly. If you don’t you get into trouble.”
Need we say more???

And that is it for today.
Enjoy your Monday, wherever you are in the world.
Thanks for visiting.
I love you guys. See ya!

More breakfast-listening music from Elvis Costello & the Attractions! This one, from 1982, “Man Out of Time” from the album Imperial Bedroom. This one suited my really, really difficult mood this morning. Enjoy, gang.
