Yes, today is the day that Kara and I go see Johnny Depp and Maiwenn’s new movie, Jeanne Du Barry, in a town that is 50 miles away from me! (Because I live in the middle of nowhere and everything is at least 50 miles away from me…)
But one thing I didn’t realize is that today is Cinco de Mayo, and Kara and I are planning to meet for dinner before the movie at an old Mexican restaurant (what to expect when it’s Cinco de Mayo in a small-ish Ohio town…):
Apparently sombreros are big in America on Cinco de Mayo now, too. Maybe this is what the movie theater will look like???
Well, regardless, I’m planning on having a great evening! I have not been to an actual movie theater in about 7 years. (And the last time I went, it was to see Johnny Depp, oddly enough, in a remake of Murder on the Orient Express.)

Okay.
Weird, weird, “news”. More optics on top of optics on top of optics! To the point where I refuse to even post them here because most of the stuff that people (even truthers that I enjoy listening to) are trying to get us to believe is, frankly, just insane.
A Q-friendly acquaintance of mine stopped into the train station on Friday night and had some news about the Iraqi dinar. Like, everything is ready to go. At any moment. But nothing will happen, gang, until the actor is out of the white house…
But in the meantime, she had a glass of wine and sat at the counter, and we chatted about medbeds and frequency healing, etc. And she loved my music playlist. Absolutely loved it. All of it is from the 1960s.
Most people who come in to the train station to have cocktails in the evenings are of an older generation and really love my 1960s playlist. (The owner does not love my 1960s playlist and has already asked me to change it 3 times in the past year. I change it only so far as to remove the specific songs that I think he doesn’t like, but for the most part, it stays pretty much the same, because customers genuinely LOVE it.)
And here’s the song that EVERY woman of a certain age (including my Q-friend from Friday night) absolutely swoons over. The song comes on, their bodies go sort of limp, and their eyes glaze over and they say softly, “Oh man, I loved this movie! I’m still getting chills just hearing this song!!!” and I wholeheartedly concur!! I cried my heart out the first time I saw To Sir, With Love. (To be honest, I have tears in my eyes just watching this trailer. I honestly feel sorry for young women today who have been indoctrinated to despise masculine men. They are missing out on so much amazing stuff!!) Anyway:
Okay.
I digress.
Two from Real Raw News:
“Marines Arrest Oregon AG for Treason — [I’m guessing that (s)he will soon be gone, baby, gone]
United States Marines on Monday arrested Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum on treason charges arising from unequivocal proof that the anti-Second Amendment AG had unconstitutionally petitioned law enforcement to conduct “wellness checks” on registered firearms owners in Grant, Baker, and other Republican-heavy counties—conservative bastions in a vividly progressive state.
Rosenblum is a radically liberal Democrat who held office between 2012 and her arrest Monday morning. Her tenure was spent on a single, twisted agenda: depriving Oregonians of their Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms. In furthering that goal, she, in 2022, co-authored Ballot Measure 114, which, though still in litigation, bans the use, possession, manufacturing, and transfer of ammunition magazines over 10 rounds; requires a permit-to-purchase (or transfer) a firearm; and requires law enforcement to maintain a registry of gun owners’ personal information contained in the permit application including – applicant’s legal name, current address and telephone number, date and place of birth, physical description, fingerprints, pictures, and ANY additional information determined necessary by law enforcement. Moreover, Rosenblum encouraged fanatical district attorneys to prosecute persons involved in self-defense shootings. […]”
Also–another one:
“JAG Sentences Deep State Judge to Hang
A three-officer panel at Camp Blaz, Guam, found Fulton County, Georgia, Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee guilty of treason and sentenced him to death by hanging, JAG sources told Real Raw News.
As reported on April 5, JAG investigators enforcing a military arrest warrant apprehended McAffee on April 3 outside the Fulton County courthouse, after which they brought him to JAG’s Pensacola processing center and, later, Camp Blaz. McAfee was at first charged with defrauding the United States of America and election interference, but JAG upgraded the charges to treason after the vitriolic judge admitted during an interrogation that he had preordained President Trump’s guilt. […] His execution is scheduled for May 15. “

Breakfast-listening music!! (I am really enjoying having my music playing again during breakfast. I had kept the CD player in the kitchen off for 6 months, so as not to disturb my houseguests, but now I just play it loud enough to hear in the kitchen. A little thing like that makes me really happy in the morning.)
From Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers second album, You’re Gonna Get It!– “No Second Thoughts”. 1978. Enjoy.
“No Second Thoughts”
She threw down her golden band
Crushed it with her feet into the sand
Took her silent partner by the hand
Yeah yeah oh yeah yeah
Somewhere near the edge of town
She said she was torn and turned around
“Can you help me cast this evil down?”
Yeah yeah oh yeah yeah
We’ll drive for the line now
There’s nothing to be lost
You and I will cross over
With no second thoughts
We’ll drive for the line now
There’s nothing to be lost
You and I will cross over
With no second thoughts
Dreams fade hope dies hard
She cups her eyes and looks out at the stars
Says, “I feel we’ve travelled very far.”
Yeah yeah oh yeah yeah
Yeah yeah oh yeah yeah
Yeah yeah oh yeah yeah
