There is almost nothing to post today.
I’m guessing that by now you heard about (or saw) the fake Kamala meltdown on Fox last evening. I feel that’s a very positive step toward ending this whole endless charade.
While that meltdown was underway, Phil was late for his livestream… and then very late.
And then he eventually posted a creepy video from his very dark car (creepy because it was so dark, he himself wasn’t creepy — 10 days of darkness coming? I don’t know). And he said he will do the live tonight at 7PM Eastern time, and then another live on Saturday night.
I can’t watch either of these. because I will be with patients, so I will have to watch the replays the following mornings.

I have been really happy to see this development (below) over the last few days, gang. I have been wondering when these guys would get some sort of restitution, freedom, whatever:
From Variety yesterday:
“Menendez Family Steps Up Pressure at Press Conference, Asking Los Angeles D.A. to Free Brothers
The family of Lyle and Erik Menendez held a press conference Wednesday to urge D.A. George Gascón to help free the brothers, who have served 34 years in prison for murdering their parents.
The brothers’ defense team has argued that new evidence shows they were victims of sexual abuse by their father, Jose Menendez.
Anamaria Baralt, a cousin of the men, argued that they were ‘victims of a culture that was not ready to listen.’ […]”
(I, personally, will be celebrating the day these guys go free! Feel free to stop over and join me!)

And in other news.
Colin Greenwood, bass player for Radiohead and currently the bass player for The Bad Seeds, has a new photo book out!
And today, his tour diary is briefly excerpted online here:
“Colin Greenwood’s tour diary: checking in with Radiohead and suiting up for Nick Cave
The bassist on becoming a Bad Seed, reconvening with old friends, and how life on the road has changed.
This diary finds me nearly a third of the way through a two-month tour of Europe, playing bass guitar for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Last year I’d recorded some parts on their new album, the ferociously euphoric Wild God, and have stepped in temporarily while their bassist, Martyn Casey, who has been ill, gets better at home in Australia. We have driven through, stopped, and played arenas in Oberhausen, Berlin, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Hamburg; now we’re heading to eastern Europe towards Łódź and Kraków. Tonight we’re playing in Budapest. Most of the shows are sold out, averaging around 13,000 very excited fans of all ages.…”
{You can read the full excerpt HERE. It is really cool. I enjoyed it a lot.]

And our new daily section on the blog– (see yesterday’s post):
What Would Keith Richards Do?
Our random sampling for today turned out to be: Again, from Chapter 5!! Daily Affirmations. This one is on Self-Trust.
When asked what his New Year’s Resolutions were, Keith replied:
“I don’t really have to promise myself anything. That’s all part of the wonderfulness that is me. Like they say in America, ‘If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.'”
I hope that Affirmation helps guide you through your dense and complicated day!!

All righty.
That’s it, gang.
Enjoy your Thursday, wherever you are in the world.
Thanks for visiting.
I love you guys. See ya!

I leave you with this. And, yes, all this Keith Richards stuff is related to the memoir I’m working on over here, covering the years 1971-1980 (in my own life, not necessarily his).
