The guys from the County were just here and they approved me for a new roof, new gutters, and new ceilings in my kitchen and bathroom. All part of a low-income homeowner grant program, so this is at no cost to me!
Even with my bankruptcy from last year, I got approved. AND, since the roof is leaking so bad, they’re moving my project to the head of the line. (“Luckily” it’s raining today, so they saw first hand how bad the roof is leaking.)
What a blessing!! I am almost in shock.
Okay. I gotta scoot to town to get the groceries. I’m guessing you all know about Trump’s grand slam for Super Tuesday. The only other news is Charlie’s daily news update.

So, little by little, I am back in the world.
On a sadder note.
My dad’s health is really, really declining. It has really just got me in a terrible state today. The hospice coordinator called me on the phone yesterday and explained to me why my dad had been unable to take my call for the past few days, and all the sudden changes going on in my dad’s health (he has advanced cancer), and his cognizance deterioration. So we decided it was better to wait until next week before I try to go back down there again.
When I was down there a couple weeks ago, I knew that the “dad” I had always known was gone now and that it was just a matter of time. But knowing it was coming doesn’t make it any easier.
Anyway.
I’ve got a lot of writing to do here, so I am trying to keep myself from just sitting and staring.

Part of my post from yesterday that deleted itself, explained why I hadn’t been on the blog for a couple of days — and that is because I am extraordinarily busy with Abstract Absurdity Productions right now, and between that and going into the train station, I was just overwhelmed.
It’s all very exciting stuff, though. (Well, not the train station part.)
Tomorrow I am planning on driving down to see my dad again, but that is a little bit up in the air. But I might not be here on the blog tomorrow.
And then — guess what?! Bright and early Wednesday morning, the County is coming here to take a look at my roof situation. This is in response to a grant I applied for 14 MONTHS ago (!!), for low income home owners who needed major home repairs. My bankruptcy still could disqualify me, but they are coming to look at it anyway!!!!
So any prayers you can send my way right now, gang, will be greatly appreciated. As you know, I desperately need a new roof.

Yes, I survived my 3 conference calls yesterday — and even managed to remain on Zoom while taking a quick walk to the police station to let them know a young neighbor of mine (whom I’d never seen before) was walking up and down the road in her PJs and slippers, acting really strangely. And she even tried to come into my house, twice, to use the phone, as if she thought it was her home.
Anyway. I was worried about her.
Also, just FYI — I never have my camera or mic on when I’m on Zoom. Unless someone insists on it. So, if you ever want to have a Zoom call with me, and want to make sure I’m not actually outside, hanging out with the cops, then ask me to turn my camera on….
