Sorry I Missed You!

Yesterday was my day off, and 100% of it went to working with Peitor on the TV pilot.

I did manage to stay up to date on all the news, though. It is insane, right? All the Q-stuff coming TRUE on a daily basis now, right before our very eyes.

**************

Phil is supposed to be live at 7PM Eastern tonight, but I guess we shouldn’t hold our breath. Check here later to confirm.

**************

I am finally getting adjusted to my new work schedule — by that, I mean, that every time they text me and ask me if I can pick up a shift, or pick up a new weekly client indefinitely, I text back and politely say ‘no.’

It is the only way I will ever get back to any of my half-finished writing projects, spanning the last 5 years.

I am starting to feel like the person I used to be. It’s an interesting feeling. I’m not 100% there, yet. But I’m on my way.

Yesterday, I stopped taking ashwagandha. I had been taking it twice a day, since late July, when I was in PTSD 24/7 and couldn’t get down from it.

I also cut back on L-Theanine yesterday, and today, I might stop that altogether, as well. I’ve been taking it every day, for the past 2 years.

All of this is in an effort to “get back to myself.” And find out if I can handle stress now, just on my own. I’m feeling pretty confident. We shall see.

**************

Nick Cave announced another Solo Tour — this one in Europe, this spring/summer. Again, with Colin Greenwood on bass. Tickets go on sale Friday, January 31st.

If you haven’t seen this show yet, you don’t want to miss it!!

*****************

Also, just FYI — due to distribution problems regarding my eBooks on Amazon versus everywhere else, I had to put prices back on to all my eBooks.

So nothing is free to download anymore. But, I’m guessing that, if Smashwords sticks around, they will still offer the “free to download” sales 2 or 3 times a year.

Again, I want to thank everyone who is buying the eBook editions of The Guitar Hero Goes Home, and Twilight of the Immortal. I really, really appreciate it.

And while we’re at it — thank you to everyone who is also buying both the print and eBook editions of Neptune & Surf. (!!!!) That book is only 26 years old, already. And both editions are still making it into the sales rank listings. Wow.

The eBook edition (published by Hachette in London), is ranked #16,122 in interracial erotica. Honestly, this just astounds me. A book that is 26 years old.

It took me 4 years to write Neptune & Surf — back in the mid-1990s. I got up every morning at 6AM, and went into our spare bedroom with my cup of coffee and sat at my desk overlooking West End Avenue in NYC, writing/revising for several hours each day. (And drinking & smoking for several hours each night.) For 4 years.

Everyone, absolutely everyone I knew, said I was crazy to spend so much time doing that, because they wanted me to just keep being a songwriter, indefinitely.

I used to ask God if I was indeed crazy to keep at it, and He very distinctly told me that “the book would find its readers.” So I stuck with it….and He turned out to be correct. Go figure…

From the many kind reviews of the original print edition:

I adored this book. Marilyn Jaye Lewis is a first rate erotic writer. I read it more than once, bought copies to give to friends. Her characters are so human, their stories so well developed, and the eroticism is…well, truly erotic. Everyone who appreciates erotic literature should read this book and everything else Lewis writes. She’s the best of the best.

Thank you.

All right!!

I gotta scoot. A lot of work to do before my afternoon shift.

I hope you have a terrific Tuesday, wherever you are in the world!!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

Yes, odd as it may seem, my listening-music from yesterday!!!!

Too fabulous. Play it loud and remember those fantastic olden times in NYC. Enjoy, gang.

The Beastie Boys, “No Sleep Till Brooklyn”. 1986.

Wow! Talk about Good Neighbors!

You may recall that several weeks ago, my nieghbors surprised me by leaving two assembled cat houses, complete with straw inside, on my kitchen porch.

The stray cats — along with KonTiki of the Great Outdoors, a Maine Coon cat who adopted me 4 years ago and who refuses to stay inside — have made constant use of the little houses. Which has been such a relief to me because of the brutally cold weather we’ve had at night, along with snow.

Well, yesterday afternoon, when I got home from my shift, a different neighbor had dropped off two more cat houses, complete with straw, on my kitchen porch.

This type of kindness is just incredible, gang. Not just because it helps me out financially (I can’t afford to buy all these cat houses, let alone find time to assemble them and also buy a bale of straw), but also the fact that my neighbors care so much about animals, too.

It means so much to me, since I usually feel like a complete lunatic with all these cats on my kitchen porch. And I always wonder what the heck my neighbors are thinking…

Anyway. How beautiful.

Phil is supposed to do a livestream tonight, beginning at 8PM Eastern time.

I hope he doesn’t have to cancel again, because it has been ages since we got an update — especially since he is supposed to be talking about NESARA.

Check here to confirm and to see the listing for his upcoming livestreams this week.

The other day, when I was listening to Dan Bongino, one of his sponsors was Zippix Toothpicks. The toothpicks are infused with either B12 + caffeine, or with nicotine.

With all the amazing research coming out on the benefits of nicotine on the brain (pure nicotine, not cigarettes), I thought it would be interesting to try the toothpicks and see what kind of results I might get!

Current research is revealing the distinct health benefits of the nutrient nicotine (as found in food and also in nicotine patches). And now we know that nicotine is an incredibly safe compound, and it was NEVER addictive. Don’t believe me? The FDA still allows the tobacco industry to add 599 different man-made chemicals to the nicotine in tobacco products, causing the known damage from cigarettes and other tobacco products. It is not the nicotine that causes harm.” [article here]

Cognitive enhancement: Nicotine has been well-documented for its ability to enhance cognitive function and overall performance.  Research published in 2001 highlighted the fact that transdermal nicotine administration in the form of “patches” treated certain cognitive impairments associated with Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, as well as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).  Studies conducted on animal models have shown that nicotine significantly boosts working memory with chronic exposure.” [article here]

I am very interested to see what brain benefits nicotine toothpicks might yield for me. I will keep you posted!!

Meanwhile–

We are getting SO CLOSE to completing the TV pilot script. We are really, really getting there. It’s kind of amazing. It should be finished in a couple of days.

It took us one full year to write the script for a 10-minute art film (“Lita måste gå” — aka: “Lita’s Got to Go!”). Literally, an 18-page script and it took us one year. And now we’ve blasted through a 60-page pilot script in a handful of weeks. Even though we began writing the script in early 2024, we’ve re-written almost all of that, except for the opening scenes.

So this is kind of amazing. Exhausting, but amazing. It’s almost done.

*************

That’s it for now, gang. I gotta get back at it before my afternoon shift.

Have a great Sunday, wherever you are in the world!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

************

Yes! I really do listen to this stuff!!

Just try it yourself and see how incredible it is: driving alone, out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by towering trees, endless sky and the foothills of Appalachia on all sides! With or without the snow…

Yesterday’s driving-home music! I’m guessing it needs no introduction. Enjoy, gang!

Yes! Back to Work Today, But…

They have finally stopped giving me double shifts! I checked my schedule for the month of February, and between today and the end of February — I have NO double shifts!!

Yay. (I sent my coordinator an email on Saturday morning, re-stating, once again, that I didn’t want to do any more doubles. That I was exhausted.)

Plus, they announced recently that we’re all getting raises by the end of this month — so I shouldn’t notice the lack of doubles on my paycheck.

Another yay.

I can’t tell you what a relief this is. When I was first hired, I only wanted 20-25 hours a week. And for the last 5 months, I’ve had 27-30 hours a week. And that’s not counting all the hours and hours and hours of driving.

So, now, I should be able to get more writing done. I can’t tell you what this means to my sanity.

Everyone, the world over, is better off when I’m sane

***************

If you’ve been reading the blog everyday, you’ve likely noticed that Peitor and I are behind the deadline to complete the first draft of the pilot script. But we’re getting there.

This means, though, that we are going to have a TON of work on the rest of the materials that need to be ready with the pilot by March 18th.

So, no end in sight. Which is why it is such a relief to get my hours cut back, finally.

And in March, Sandra and I, et al, start back to work on the staged reading of our play, “The Guide to Being Fabulous”, Off-Broadway.

Starting to get my life back, gang. After 5 years.

************

Regarding the rest of the world–

I am very, very excited about the Executive Order to start releasing the information about the assassinations of JFK, RFK, and MLK.

The info on JFK is supposed to be released in 15 DAYS. I’m hoping that they will find a way to bring JFK, Jr. back into the public eye around that time, too. We’ll see.

From il donaldo trumpo yesterday:

[And nary a hint of popcorn anywhere…]

*****************

Okay. That’s it for now.

Enjoy your Friday, wherever you are in the world.

Thanks for visiting!!

I love you guys. See ya!

*****************

Believe it or not, this song (assuming the producers will license even part of it) has a spectacular feature toward the end of the pilot episode.

It will be so fucking perfect — I hope that it pans out.

Last night, I was playing this song over and over, just picturing the scene in my head, and just LOVING it!! (Our show is a dramedy, btw.) And using this particular song, and the specific characters involved in this scene (from Finland), were essentially some of my primary contributions to the story.

So while listening to the song, I imagine, in my head, that if the show becomes a hit, how happy these as- yet-unknown actors in Finland are going to be to get such “out there” and FANTASTIC roles!!! Yay!!

Okay.

From 1977, from Saturday Night Fever, the Bee Gees’ iconic, “Stayin’ Alive”. Enjoy, gang!!!!

Thanks, Everybody!

Wow. Whoever you are, I really appreciate you.

I was just looking over the sales stats on my various self-published novels and I see that the Kindle version of The Guitar Hero Goes Home (written 5 years ago), is ranked #1,731 in sales of Biographical Literary Fiction (!!!). (Holy Cow!!!)

And the Kindle version of Twilight of the Immortal (from FIFTEEN years ago!!!), is ranked #2,686 in sales of LGBTQ Historical Fiction. And #5,824 in LGBTQ Literary Fiction!!

This astounds me in the best possible way, gang.

Not just the sales rankings, but the “Literary Fiction” categories.

It just made my morning. Thanks, everybody.

***************

On other topics–

I am really eager to see those much-promised Energy Bills come down. I just got my heating bill and it’s ridiculous.

I’m guessing that everyone is aware of what is going on with Trump and all the Executive Orders and the progress of all that, so here’s hoping we soon see an end to this robbery (meaning: when it gets super cold like this, the cost of natural gas heat soars.)

**************

Nick Cave sent out a really sweet Red Hand File yesterday!! I just loved it. It was a letter written by a group of French school children — aged 12 and 13. Their English was, for the most part, good, but also sort of funny.

In part, they asked: “We found you sometimes weirdos, strange and dark in your differents songs, but we like it! So how do you see yourself in your songs? Are you happy sometimes?

Nick replied, in part:

As for being ‘weirdos, strange and dark’ – this is not only an accurate reflection of my songs but also describes me, or at least how I often feel. Yet, amidst the weirdness, the strangeness, and deep within the darkness, I am mostly happy. I am mostly happy because beautiful things keep happening to me, such as receiving your letter.

You can read it in full here. It was just wonderful.

***************

And that is really all I have for today, because the TV pilot has me overloaded with work. And I find I am getting depressed about having to return to the caregiving job tomorrow. 5 days was just not enough of a break. But I’m trying not to dwell on it. And trying to just keep moving forward…

This is helping! I began watching it last evening on Amazon Prime. I loved the Flip Wilson Show when I was a kid, but as an adult, I’m actually understanding the humor! And it makes me laugh out loud.

All right. Enjoy your Thursday, wherever you are in the world, gang.

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

As promised, the Best of Cajun Country is no longer in the kitchen CD player. However, the CD that’s in there now includes songs that are nearly 100 years old. That, alone, kinda depresses me. When did that happen??

Rudy Vallee, The Voice That Had Them Fainting: Hits from 1928-1937.

Anyway. Yes, from Rudy Vallee. “These Foolish Things (Remind Me of You)” from 1936. Enjoy, gang!

So Nice!!

It is currently -8 degrees Fahrenheit here in the Hinterlands, and this fine gentleman has offered to drive me to town and back to get the groceries!!!

Yay!

But seriously, gang, between the weather here (my upstairs toilet is frozen, but so far the hot water pipes are working in the shower & sink because I have a milk house heater going full blast, nonstop, in that bathroom. It’s like a sauna upstairs.)

Portable milk house heater — meant for dairy cows but it also works great for us!!

Anyway, between protecting my house from the weather here, and the cold and snow in NYC — it’s a really great thing I postponed my trip. (Even though I keep thinking wistfully to myself: I would have been in Manhattan right now…)

But at least, here, it is not snowing today and the sun is out. And I have to go to town to get the groceries, so it could be a whole lot worse.

**************

Yes, I’m on vacation from the caregiver job until Friday evening at 6PM.

And — YES! — they keep texting me, asking me if I’d like to pick up a shift….

Not sure what “I’m on vacation” means in their vocabulary.

However.

My non-NYC “vacation” now involves nonstop work on the TV pilot, so I’m actually kind of exhausted. No joke.

Me, yesterday

But I am enjoying the heck out of this new life — wherein I no longer gather the news and post it to my blog.

Now, I just watch and listen and read the various alt news stuff and I am digging the heck out of what Trump is doing!! It is actually kind of blowing my mind sometimes.

But now I can just sort of enjoy it, or be aghast by it, or astounded by it, without needing to make any notes about it.

I thought his press conference yesterday was sort of jaw-dropping. As much as I hate AI and MRNAs, it did sort of seem like MedBeds under a new name, didn’t it???

This will probably be the final morning of the Best of Cajun Country at breakfast, but I leave you with this today!!

Rod Bernard’s “Papa Thibodeaux” !! From 1968. You gotta like Cajun fiddles to like this one. We love them around here! Okay. Enjoy, gang!!

What A Wonderful Day!

It is actually SUNNY here right now. And the temperatures are going up to about 40 degrees Fahrenheit!

And then rain very early tomorrow morning — all of which means the snow will be gone before the temperatures plummet to below zero this coming week.

This could likely be my only post until Monday, because I have to do back-to-back doubles this weekend. And interestingly enough — I really can’t find any news to post today.

The news just keeps getting better and better — and news that we would have normally considered “Q” stuff, or alternative news, is now all over the MSM pretty much every day.

It feels incredible.

***************

The only thing that I thought was of interest was posted on Eyes On Christ last night — 2 TikTok videos and 1 ABC News footage video, made by private individuals in LA, claiming/showing there are no fires.

Click link and then scroll down.

*******************

Similarly, from President Trump yesterday:

“It is my honor to announce Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, to be Special Ambassadors to a great but very troubled place, Hollywood, California. They will serve as Special Envoys to me for the purpose of bringing Hollywood, which has lost much business over the last four years to Foreign Countries, BACK—BIGGER, BETTER, AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE! These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will get done what they suggest. It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”

[FYI: these 3 actors have been all over the alternative news during the last 4 years.]

******************

Phil is supposed to be live tonight at 8PM Eastern time. Check here to confirm.

*****************

I love Simcha Jacobovici as much as I love James Tabor! I’m so excited about his TV show, “The Naked Archeologist” returning soon.

Uncovering the First Cross: The Birth of a Christian Icon! (8 mins):

***************

In other news–

Johnny Depp was in London the other night, sporting some great-looking teeth and looking fit and maybe even rested (?) at the Jeff Beck Guitar Auction event at Christie’s!

And honestly, gang, that is all I have for today. The news items that I find most interesting are all over the MSM now, so you can find them everywhere. Yay!

I don’t have to leave for my evening shift until 5:30pm, so I have the whole day to tackle the TV pilot.

And just in time for not only my schedule freeing up (after the Inauguration, that is), and my active involvement again with Peitor and our company, Abstract Absurdity Productions (based in the South of France), my Mondly Language App auto-renewed for another year yesterday! So I’m gonna have time now to keep tackling my French lessons. (This only makes 58 years (!!) of studying French!!!)

Abstract Absurdity Productions home base in Nice, France!

Meanwhile, enjoy your Friday, wherever you are in the world!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

Last night’s driving home music!!

The Pogues’ , “If I Should Fall From Grace With God.” From the album of the same name, 1988. Enjoy, gang!

4-3-2-1!

I can’t believe we are only 4 days away from everything we’ve been working relentlessly toward for over four years.

It feels incredible.

Not only that, but it’s sort of been jaw-dropping to watch so many things coming to fruition even before the Inauguration. The ceasefire deal yesterday being a primary one.

And I’m guessing that the moment Trump is sworn in at noon on Monday, the Ukraine craziness will come to an immediate halt.

I guess we’ll see.

Anyway. There is not much to report. We are just sort of barreling toward the next phase — which doesn’t involve me trying to post the news updates anymore, btw. Once Trump is officially back in the White House, my work is done! And my blog will go back to just being my blog.

Breakfast-listening-music!!

From the CD “Best of Cajun Country” — Rusty & Doug Kershaw, the original of the now- classic, “Louisiana Man”. 1955. Enjoy, gang!!!

What the heck is the matter with people?

I’m going to start off the post with Nick Cave’s new Red Hand File, which I just this moment read, and I am just so OVER it — that so many effing people have such a problem with the opening line of the AMAZING song, “O Wow O Wow (How Wonderful She Is)”. This is not the first time I’d encountered comments about that first line, or entire first verse.

It is such a HUMAN opening line. A human, playful song about an amazing , playful human being who is no longer among us. WTF is wrong with people? Have they never been in love and been in bed and made art???? Jesus.

Anyway! Nick replies, in part:

But as its creator I feel the need to defend it – not just out of some paternal urge, but because I have always thought the line was rather good. Truthfully, when I wrote the first verse of ‘O Wow O Wow‘, I was so pleased, that I took the rest of the day off!

The opening verse is, of course, a recollection of my younger days with Anita – in this instance, she rises naked from our shared bed…”

You can read it in full here.

*************

Okay. Well. More snow came yesterday. And now it’s super duper cold out there. But you know what???

Yesterday morning, absolutely out of the blue, my next door neighbors brought over TWO completely assembled cat houses, complete with plenty of straw inside each of them, and they put them on my kitchen porch!! The husband texted me: “We noticed that there are cats congregating on your porch. Hopefully this will help them stay warm.”

How nice is that??? I have one cat house out there already, but 3 cats.

I can’t tell you what that did to reducing my stress level instantansously.

And yes, this is the same man who dug a grave in my backyard for Lucie when she died this past summer. And it’s the same man whose home got COMPELTELY crushed when my enormous maple tree fell on their house during a mini tornado 3 summers ago.

What great neighbors.

This is such a amazing little village.

************

Well, the closer we get to the Inauguration, the less real news there is. It all seems to be about setting the stage for Trump to come back and change everything imaginable.

***********

I leave you with this!

This came up on my “frequent playlist” while I was driving home last night, in the dark, in the snow. And missing New York. (See yesterday’s post about why I had to cancel my trip there next week.)

How interesting, right? From 1975 — in fact, I’ve mentioned this here before, but this song was released while I was committed to the mental hospital. At the lowest point in my life. I used to listen to it on the AM radio in my room. And within a mere 5 years, I was living one block from Broadway, married to one of the most interesting men I had ever met, who’d come all the way from Singapore!!

And this year, our play, “The Guide to being Fabulous,” will be produced (Off)-Broadway!!

Okay. Enjoy, gang. We never know what great things are right around the corner.

Here Comes Monday – Again!

Well, since it’s my one day off per week, I wish that every day was Monday.

However, that said…

Wow, do I have a lot of work to do today. I’m trying to get a tiny bit of household chores done (bare minimum), because the script for the TV pilot is first and foremost on my desk. (Is that even, like, an actual sentence?)

When I awoke at 5:42AM — yes! I slept in!! — I found no less than 8 new files from Peitor in my inbox. So I need to read over all that before he and I have our Monday-marathon video chat on WhatsApp. Because, one week from today, the first draft of this script needs to be finished. And we still have 29 pages to go.

[And this is what’s NOT happening: I am not taking the laptop to NYC with me. I am not going there to work, but to just enjoy myself and have a good time. And I leave for NYC one week from tomorrow.]

So anyway.

************

The news.

You know, even though so much incredibly great stuff is happening as we approach the official Inauguration Day; for me, all of it is overshadowed by the horrors of LA. Even though I had really come to hate Los Angeles and everything it stood for, everything it had become, and I never intended to go back there, ever. I still can’t bare the sight of what has been unleashed there.

And I don’t for a minute believe it was “climate change” and simply “high winds”. I believe that in various ways, from start to finish, this was a manmade atrocity. Just like Lahaina was, in Maui.

And it just gets so hard for me to focus on good things when I know that so many innocent people and animals are suffering in the fallout of that.

************

Anyway.

Driving-home music from last night!

I love this song!! Rod Stewart, 1991, “Rhythm of My Heart.” From his album, Vagabond Heart.

You really gotta turn up the volume on this one, gang. It sounds so great — when it’s cranked up and you’re driving alone in the dark at 85 MPH, and the nearly-full moon is following you.

Oh, and a happy belated 80th birthday to Rod-the-Mod. Okay. Enjoy!

A Beautiful Morning!

We’ve still got plenty of snow around here, but for whatever reason, I woke up at 3AM in the very best mood!

And then, around 5AM, when I stepped out onto the kitchen porch to feed my outside cats — wow, the moon looked incredible, peeking through the bare limbs of the trees across the way, and some stars were out and the sky was a perfect shade of deep blue, a couple of clouds floating around.

It was incredible. It really took my breath away.

And, ironically, for the first time in several weeks, I no longer felt like I was suffocating.

**************

Okay. I hope you’re feeling just as good wherever you are today.

I have a phone meeting with Peitor shortly, so this will be brief.

*************

On Friday, il donaldo trumpo posted the popcorn meme again! But I think he was referring to the lawfare thing, the fake sentencing. Nothing to do with LA.

Yes, Jack Smith “has resigned”.

BYE BYE, LOSER!!!🤣🤣🤣 (24 seconds):

***************

And yesterday, Charlie Ward’s newsletter had more updates on the fake “climate change”.

“Antarctica Sea Ice Recovery Exposes
Alarmist Hysteria

[…] Headlines screamed about “mind-blowing” declines, with experts warning of catastrophic consequences for the planet. Yet, by the end of 2024, Antarctica’s sea ice extent was back to the 1981–2010 average, a sharp reminder of natural variability—something scientists understand but alarmists conveniently ignore.

[…] This isn’t the first time extreme highs and lows in Antarctic ice have been documented. Historical data shows similar fluctuations in the 1960s. Yet, media and activist scientists jump on short-term dips to fuel their Net Zero crusade, disregarding the cyclical nature of climate systems.

Even the British Antarctic Survey recently claimed 2023’s ice lows were a “once-in-2,000-year event” without climate change based on questionable computer models, of course. Unsurprisingly, mainstream outlets have ignored the 2024 recovery, just as they brushed aside coral reef growth that disproved prior doom-mongering.

This saga highlights how narrative-driven commentators twist transient weather events into crises, sidelining robust science for apocalyptic propaganda. Antarctica’s climate story, once a cornerstone of alarmism, is now a glaring example of natural variation overlooked in favour of Net Zero hysteria.”
