Well, allegedly, the Vice President of Malawi, Dr. Saulos Chilima, and his wife and 8 others were killed in a plane crash.
I say “allegedly” because he recently voted against the W.H.O. treaty, and I believe that is a psy-op, so the “plane crash” could be optics to wake people up to the WHO, but obviously I don’t know for certain, gang.

And in other news —
Nick Cave sent out a Red Hand File yesterday that was delightfully revealing!
“…the winter after Arthur died, I was walking along an empty beach in Brighton and had the sudden impulse to jump into the sea. I was shocked to find that, upon entering the freezing water, I experienced a sudden, violent, radical rearrangement of my relationship with almost everything. I discovered that it was simply impossible to grieve in icy water. This revelation began my love affair with cold-water swimming.”
You can read about his wild swimming in full here.
And you can still get tickets to his upcoming Wild God tour of Europe here.

And in personal news–
I have decided to step away from the TV pilot/series that I was developing with Peitor, my partner in Abstract Absurdity Productions.
While the project is going very well, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if it gets picked up by a streamer, I just don’t want to write for TV. There are very few TV shows being made these days that I even like — “Sister Boniface Mysteries” is a prominent exception — and, if it does get picked up, I don’t want to give up all the time it would take to write a TV show that’s set for 3 seasons, possibly 4. I’ll be closing in on 70 years old by then.
10-15 years ago, a lot of the streaming TV shows appealed to me, but times have seriously changed. And I have too many projects of my own that I want to complete before my time on Earth is over (I’ll be 64 in a handful of weeks, and I have no less than 3 novels, 3 memoirs, 3 novellas, a new short story collection, and a short film adaptation of my Helen LaFrance play– all in various stages of “not finished yet”).
But Peitor and I are in a good place about my decision, and he is moving forward with the show on his own. And now I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders, gang.

And I believe that is it for today.
Have a terrific Tuesday, wherever you are in the world.

I leave you with this timely gem from yesteryear!! I love this song, gang, and have loved it since I was a wee bonny lass! “”Everyday People” by Sly & the Family Stone, 1969. Enjoy, gang!!
“Everyday People”
Sometimes I’m right and I can be wrong
My own beliefs are in my song
The butcher, the banker, the drummer and then
Makes no difference what group I’m in
I am everyday people, yeah, yeah
There is a blue one
Who can’t accept the green one
For living with a fat one
Trying to be a skinny one
Different strokes
For different folks
And so on and so on
And scooby dooby dooby
Oh sha sha
We got to live together
I am no better and neither are you
We are the same, whatever we do
You love me, you hate me, you know me and then
You can’t figure out the bag I’m in
I am everyday people, yeah yeah
There is a long hair
That doesn’t like the short hair
For being such a rich one
That will not help the poor one
Different strokes
For different folks
And so on and so on
And scooby dooby dooby
Oh sha sha
We got to live together
There is a yellow one
That won’t accept the black one
That won’t accept the red one
That won’t accept the white one
Different strokes
For different folks
And so on and so on
And scooby dooby dooby
Oh sha sha
I am everyday people
