One thing that is worth noting is that Phil was with his family at Yankee Stadium in NYC last night, watching the World Series, so how bad can it really be right now, if he’s at a ball game, having a great time?
That said, the “news” is just getting more and more alarmist (from the Truther camps), as we get closer to the alleged Election Day.
As you go over the posts below, just either try to use discernment, or just sigh and say, “whatever will be, will be, at this point.”
Wow, what a privilege it was to be able to watch that incredible Trump rally at Madison Square Garden last night in the home of that husband & wife couple that I just adore (patients in my senior care job). They are both close to 90 and are serious Trump supporters, pro-America, level-headed, smart, funny people.
It was just a wonderful way to end the evening shift.
If you missed it, here is the replay (of the rally — not of my evening shift):
I ended the evening feeling really, really happy. I was coming off of 10 shifts in 6 days, the rally was exciting and it was so great to see a thing like that finally happen in NYC — my spiritual home. I just felt like this war is finally going to be over SOON. Wow.
But when I awoke to a text at 5AM from my dear friend Kara — she was confirming that we are doing dinner & a movie on November 8th (the Andrea Bocelli celebration film), but she also had a lengthy diatribe about why she hates Trump and fears that if he gets back in the White House he will end free speech entirely and the world will become Orwellian…
Good god, you know? Just when you think people are waking up.
Sadly, I’m used to (what’s left of) my family being against Trump, and most of my colleagues hating Trump, and some people who used to be among my dearest friends who now haven’t spoken to me in 4 years because they hate Trump… and now this thing from Kara at 5AM.
Just when you think people are awake and the war is almost over and that you’re not going to be alone anymore, and you’re going to have a place in the world again.
You know, it’s one thing to face this onslaught of the past 4 years by standing your ground and putting on the full armor of God every single fucking day — and watching your career disappear, your social life disappear, the world you thought you knew so well, disappear; even when Nick Cave, Keith Richards, and Bruce Springsteen publicly told people to get the vaccine, while here in the Hinterlands ,all around me, people of all ages were literally being killed by those shots — I still found a way to keep standing my ground, keep allowing myself to feel love for the world, keep getting up in the morning and fighting the fight.
But Kara?? My dear, unvaccinated, strong-willed, strong fighter Kara, absolutely hating Trump?? It was too much.
So I cried. And I texted her some links about MK Ultra, and Operation Mockingbird, and stuff about scientists being against the climate change agenda, and yet another link to a Phil video on rumble…
And then I tried to slog through my morning.
I’m really, really tired.
Anyway.

Okay. This other sad news just in — I’m hoping it’s a hardcore psyop/optics thing, as we wait for someone/anyone to Make England Great Again:
“Nobel Prize winner Dr. John F. Clauser signs the Clintel World Climate Declaration
[…] Clauser has publicly distanced himself from climate alarmism and this year he also joined the Board of Directors of the CO2 Coalition. In the announcement by the CO2 Coalition, Clauser was quoted in the following way:
‘The popular narrative about climate change reflects a dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people. Misguided climate science has metastasized into massive shock-journalistic pseudoscience. In turn, the pseudoscience has become a scapegoat for a wide variety of other unrelated ills. It has been promoted and extended by similarly misguided business marketing agents, politicians, journalists, government agencies, and environmentalists. In my opinion, there is no real climate crisis. There is, however, a very real problem with providing a decent standard of living to the world’s large population and an associated energy crisis. The latter is being unnecessarily exacerbated by what, in my opinion, is incorrect climate science.'[…]
“NEW – Up to $41 billion in World Bank climate finance is unaccounted for: That is nearly 40% of all climate funds disbursed by the bank over the past 7 years, Oxfam says.”

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds played Lisbon last night, and I know I keep saying this, but it looks like the show was just seriously off the charts! Wow. here are some photos from Instagram, but there were TONS of them and tons of videos, too.
Next, they play 2 nights in Belgium — Weds & Thursday, Oct. 30th & 31st. Buy tickets here.

Also, Nick Cave sent out a Red Hand File early this morning, wherein he explained what it takes for him to feel free — in art, faith, love. He said, in part:
As a songwriter, I am primarily concerned with artistic freedom – freedom of expression, belief and imagination. What it takes for me to pursue these freedoms – to feel genuinely free – has paradoxically something to do with order and constraint. I feel free to express myself and can access a greater quality of imagination when certain restrictions are put into place…
Once again, we find ourselves in the never-ending Chapter Five: Daily Affirmations. And quite fortuitously, the topic today is OTHER PEOPLE. How interesting, right?
Keith advises: “You learn to take people as they come. It doesn’t matter where they come from. So you learn to size up people really quickly. If you don’t you get into trouble.”
Need we say more???

More breakfast-listening music from Elvis Costello & the Attractions! This one, from 1982, “Man Out of Time” from the album Imperial Bedroom. This one suited my really, really difficult mood this morning. Enjoy, gang.
Meaning, I only work one shift today. And it’s the last shift before I not only get a day off, but also, after today, my schedule returns to something normal.
Today, though, is my tenth shift in a row since Tuesday. Last night, when I was driving home (25 miles in the dark), I was so tired, I couldn’t think straight. But today, I’m feeling good and the couple I am with this evening are just the greatest people. They are such a pleasure to be with.
I have my schedule for November already and I have a new policy: I cannot accept anymore last-minute shifts. AT ALL. I am mentally worn out and I have too much writing to get done. (And now I only have to remember that this is my new policy.)
Anyway.
Since you last saw me here, my world got incredibly interesting. But it all revolves around some new patients I have so I can’t really post about it. It is sufficient to say that it is making my head spin, but not in a bad way.

Not much to post about this morning. I’m guessing everyone already knows about the nearly 3-hour Joe Rogan interview with Trump and how successful that was.
And an interesting Q-related post regarding Trump’s rally last night.
From NewsTreason 17 – (includes video clip) (below is quoting Trump at the rally):
““It’s coming to an end. In one way it’s sad, in another way it’s beautiful. I think it’s going to come to a very successful end and then a new period begins and that’s the next 4 years where we’re going to make our country so incredible… but there’ll never be rallies like this… and I will never forget it.”
“November 5th… I believe it will be the biggest political event in the history of our country.”
“God bless you all! Good luck fellas! Have a good life!”

“I have to salute you all because you truly have been warriors and heroes and you are the very reason that I do continue and want to continue to make films. The legal documents on this are horrible. As a victim of several rapes and sexual abuse when I was young, it breaks my heart when I read the details on all this stuff. But here ya go. (Click the link directly below and enlarge the pages) (Also, these guys were based in Columbus, Ohio — just one of many reasons why Columbus is such an evil place to me.)
“I compiled the entire indictment here. People need to realize that the modeling industry was a feeding ground for Jeffrey Epstein’s blackmail ring as well. The amount of abuse we’ve seen come out of that industry is staggering. Peter Nygard, Epstein, Rachel Chandler, Les Wexner, Jean Luc-Brunel. Look at how many of these sick freaks are going down! Winning!
From approximately 2008 to 2015, the defendants MICHAELS.JEFFRIES, MATTHEW C.SMITH and JAMEST.JACOBSON, together with others, operated international sex trafficking and prostitution business.”
“When the conspiracy theorists told you that elites were into child trafficking, being blackmailed, and into Satanism, they said it was a conspiracy theory. When Epstein was arrested for child trafficking they started to admit maybe we were onto something. When Diddy was arrested for blackmailing your favorite artists with human trafficking they really started to believe the truth. And now, Abercrombie and Fitch’s CEO was just arrested for sex trafficking but they said all those years ago that it was just a conspiracy theory that Hollywood and the Elites were being blackmailed, into Satanism and ped*philia. It’s time to admit that the conspiracy theorists were right about everything.”
“Michael Jeffries was recruiting heterosexual men and forcing them to engage in Diddy like situations. Wow. Pages 5-8 [linked above]
Now we know why all these celebrities are coming out in support of Kamala Harris. How many of them are blackmailed?
“Intentionally recruited heterosexual men, certain of whom were unwilling to engage in particular sex acts, including anal sex, and insisted that men who previously stated they were unwilling to engage in particular sex acts, including anal sex, nonetheless engage in such acts during the Sex Events;(h)pressured men to consume alcohol, Viagra and muscle relaxants known as poppers, during the Sex Events; and(i)required the presence of the Staff during the sexual activity, and ensured that men attending did not leave the Sex Events until JEFFRIES and SMlTH decided they were over.”

From Keith’s Youtube channel, 7 years ago:
Ask Keith Richards: How did you first meet Merle Haggard? (2 mins)
After what I posted yesterday about my overloaded schedule this week, I know it will probably seem hard to believe, but I did it AGAIN.
The agency texted me yesterday afternoon and asked me if I could pick up 2 additional shifts for another caregiver….
…and I was in such a GREAT mood, because things are going really, really GREAT for Sandra and me in NYC regarding our play, “The Guide to Being Fabulous,” that without even stopping to think, I once again said, “Sure!!”
And then afterwards, as I was getting my dinner ready, it finally dawned on me what I’d done.
I now have NO time for myself this week. No time to even wash my hair or do yoga. It’s insane.
Anyway. I’m going to have to pay more attention to this and stop saying yes without looking at my schedule first.
But that said, I was on the phone twice with Sandra yesterday, and I can’t really post what is going on right now, except to say that it is GREAT. And also to say that I am really BUSY and I need time to WRITE. And that in 2025, I will probably be going to NYC a lot!!

What Would Keith Richards Do?
It’s a strange one, today, gang.
It’s from Chapter Three, the Philosophy of Keith. If you feel there is no harm in repeating a good thing, you’re not alone! Consider the Philosophy of Keith:
“Look at Jimmy Reed: For twenty-five years he did the same song , and every one of them was different.”
That should give you courage today, if you feel like maybe you’ve been repeating yourself…

Since I am re-visiting the top 100 hits from 1971 for my memoir, this song was going through my wee bonny head this morning at breakfast, so I leave you with it today.
A huge Top 40 radio hit from 1971, Hamilton, Joe Frank, and Reynolds – “Don’t Pull Your Love Out on Me, Baby”. Enjoy!!
Yes, I have the day off. And I don’t have another day off until a week from today… so I gotta make it count.
(And the reason I only have one day off, and EIGHT shifts in the next seven days, is because when they texted me and asked me if I could substitute for a caregiver who needed time off, and pick up 4 of her shifts this week with a 98-year-old Japanese man who lives way out in the Hinterlands, I said “SURE!!” because I love Japanese guys, no matter what age. And then when I went to mark it on my calendar, I immediately saw my folly: What the fuck was I thinking?? but, alas, it was too late…)
Anyway. I guess I’ll appreciate it when my paycheck arrives in my bank account while I’m in NYC, spending a fucking fortune…
Okay.
The stunning fall weather will be even more amazing today than yesterday, so I’m planning to take a walk today. Do yoga at some point. And then spend the rest of the day writing at my desk. So it should be a good day.

Okay! Our daily feature!!
What Would Keith Richards Do?
Once again, our random sampling comes from the seemingly endless Chapter Five, Daily Affirmations. This time, the topic is Self-Knowledge. Keith advises:

I leave you today with this.
As I’m developing notes for my (really, really emotionally overwhelming) memoir about my life from 1971-1980, I remembered one of the final things my dad said to me while he was still coherent.
We were sitting together in this really beautiful area in the high rise where he lived, that overlooked the dining hall with its enormous windows. It was a beautiful day. He and I were alone — no caregiver, no hospice nurse. And suddenly he said to me, “I hope you didn’t legally change your middle name. Because it was a really beautiful name.”
“No, I didn’t legally change it, Dad. I just wanted to keep my middle name private and not have it part of my career.” Which is true.
“Good,” he said. “Because I don’t see why you would ever want to give up a beautiful name like ‘Joy.'”
And I don’t.
And then this song suddenly came back to me over the weekend, while I was working on the memoir. It was a huge radio hit in 1972. I was 12, and not only did I really, really love this song, but I loved the name of it.
Based on Bach’s “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” the song “Joy,” by Apollo 100 from 1972. Enjoy!!!
Another gorgeous day. and today is the day I get to have lunch with 2 of my girlfriends, before heading to my evening shift (where I absolutely adore the husband & wife that I spend 4 hours with.) So this is a great day underway here.
**********
If you missed Phil’s livestream last night, it was hugely not anything like Thursday’s live.
If you want to get depressed or start panicking, then I guess go listen to it.
Otherwise, I can sum it up by saying you should buy gold & silver if you can afford it. Only keep enough cash in your bank account to cover your bills and keep the rest at home. Keep plenty of gas in the car. Keep plenty of food on hand for you and your pets. And VOTE! Either on Election Day or earlier. But VOTE.
And that is actually it. Everything else is either optics or chaos, or both.
In other news!!
I found this photo of Times Square in 1979, on Instagram yesterday and WOW, what memories, gang!!
It was actually taken the winter before I moved to NYC, but Times Square looked exactly like this back when I was living on W.45th Street — from 1981-1983 — with my first husband, Chong. We only lived 2 blocks from Times Square. From the billboards, to the stores, to the cars — it all looked exactly like this (with or without the snow).

What Would Keith Richards Do?
Our random sampling came once again from Chapter Five — Daily Affirmations. The topic is, oddly enough, God. Keith says:
“You never know what the sound’s gonna be like in those stadiums. You’re relying on God, who joins the band every night in one form or another.”
That’s kind of a nice affirmation for a Sunday, isn’t it?? Okay, affirm that, gang, and enjoy your day!!

From yesterday, Bongino chats live with Trump in NYC (you have to forward about 30-40 minutes, though, because they were on the air while waiting for Trump to get to the studio).

In my own life — some super exciting news! I am actually meeting 2 of my girlfriends (former co-workers from the train station) for lunch tomorrow!! We’re meeting at a Mexican restaurant that is literally 5 minutes from where I have my afternoon/evening shift tomorrow, so I can actually take my time and enjoy myself.
We have not seen each other in almost 3 months. Time flies so fucking fast, gang. And one of the women spent a month in Australia during that time, so I want to hear all about her trip.
We’re all excited about getting together again, but I was the one who arranged it all because I need to make every effort to ground myself in my own life, around people my own age. It gets so fucking weird, when you’re always with people who are not only strangers to you, but also looking at the final paragraphs, basically, of their lives.
This is where we’re dining. I know it looks sort of like a warehouse from this angle. But oddly enough, even though it’s about 25 miles from where I live, I have been to this restaurant many times over the last 6 years, with various friends (mostly Kara), and I always have a great time there.
*************
Okay! Time for the new daily feature!
What Would Keith Richards Do?
Oddly enough, our random sampling actually landed us in a different chapter, finally! This morning, it was Chapter Three! And this chapter is all about the Philosophy of Keith.
If you have to choose between two evils — consider the Philosophy of Keith:
“If I knew what the other original sin was, I would do it.”
I hope that helps you get perspective on your upcoming day!!!
***********
And that’s it, gang.

This is from a bootleg 1970s album, Keith’s Unknown Dreams, that is entirely outtakes of Keith Richards’ personal demos. He sings alone and plays guitar or piano, but he did not write all of the songs included on the album. (The song below is an Everly Brothers tune). There are a bunch of cool photos that accompany the song. Enjoy!!!
Luckily, I was actually able to get home in time last night to hear Phil do his live.
Wow. That was really great, wasn’t it??? Something is really UP out there. But what??? (And if you don’t know the famous Hollywood movie from 1944, Gaslight, you should watch it!!! It’s great.)
Whatever is going on, it sure sounds like all of this is going to be over soon, thank God. (19 days?)
Now that I am sort of forced to watch TV, because almost all of my patients have the TV on constantly, I see the appalling local political commercials that people are subjected to, night & day, and it makes me want to scream. The colossal TON of lies. But I start to find myself sometimes doubting myself, which is what Phil’s live was all about.
For instance, here in Ohio, we have this thing on the ballot, Issue 1. And as far as I knew, I was voting NO on Issue 1, but the unreal, barbaric onslaught of commercials that stress voting YES on Issue 1, were beginning to plague me. Why was I voting NO? I could no longer remember.
Luckily, this came in my inbox last evening, from Convention of States, and I suddenly remembered.
It explained, in part, that if adopted, Issue 1 would:
Promote gerrymandering and unfair district formation.
Lead to erratic drawing of legislative districts resulting in disjointed districts that divide communities.
Result in poor representation of Ohioans in Columbus.
Give power to special interest groups from outside the state of Ohio.
Remove accountability to the voters of Ohio by vesting authority in unelected commission members influenced by radical progressives.
Allow virtually unlimited power to spend Ohio tax dollars with no control by Ohio voters.
Eliminate voter approved safeguards overwhelmingly passed in 2015 and 2018.
Anyway.
If you missed Phil, the replay is below. Plus it will continue on Saturday night. No time set for it yet, though. Hopefully, 8PM, since that is when I should be home from my evening patient…
There is not really a lot to post today. Everyone is hunkering down, getting ready for something HUGE — panic out there, anxiety; frustration, exhaustion.
Although, it sounds like Trump was having a great time at the Al Smith Dinner last night. Everyone was posting videos from it.
“Trump went absolutely ham tonight at the Al Smith Dinner. 😂 He was hilarious. Here’s the best highlights:
“I’d like to thank our M.C. this evening, Jim Gaffigan. Most recently, Jim has been playing Tim Walz on Saturday Night Live. That’ll be a very short gig, Jim, but it was fun while it lasted!… Unfortunately, Governor Walz isn’t here himself. But don’t worry, he’ll say that he was.”
“Chuck Schumer is here looking very glum — But look on the bright side, Chuck, considering how woke your party has become, if Kamala loses, you still have a chance to become the first woman president.”
“A major issue in this race is childcare, and Kamala has put forward a concept of a plan… The only piece of advice I would have for her in the event she wins would be not to let husband Doug anywhere near the nannies.”
“There’s a group called “White Dudes for Harris”… but I’m not worried about them at all, because their wives and their wives’ lovers are all voting for me.””

And our new daily feature–
What Would Keith Richards Do?
Okay, I loved this one!! Oddly enough, it came once again from Chapter 5, Daily Affirmations, this one is about LOVE — Chapter 5 is apparently a really long chapter.
When responding to Marianne Faithfull’s assertion that sleeping with Keith was the best night of her life, Keith said:
“I’m a lover. I’ve been trying to tell people this for years.”
Okay!!!! Affirm that, gang, and have a terrific day!!

And that is it for today.

The new, remastered, deluxe edition of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers’ Long After Dark is officially out today! (It was originally released in November of 1982, when I was living in my wildly popular but notorious hellhole apartment on E. 12th Street in NYC’s East Village, and back then I bought it in vinyl.)
The 3-CD collection arrived in my mail yesterday so I was able to play disc 2 during breakfast, dark & early this morning. Here is Tom’s version of a song he wrote that Maria McKee had a big hit with back then, “Ways to Be Wicked”. Enjoy.
I’m guessing that by now you heard about (or saw) the fake Kamala meltdown on Fox last evening. I feel that’s a very positive step toward ending this whole endless charade.
While that meltdown was underway, Phil was late for his livestream… and then very late.
And then he eventually posted a creepy video from his very dark car (creepy because it was so dark, he himself wasn’t creepy — 10 days of darkness coming? I don’t know). And he said he will do the live tonight at 7PM Eastern time, and then another live on Saturday night.
I can’t watch either of these. because I will be with patients, so I will have to watch the replays the following mornings.

I have been really happy to see this development (below) over the last few days, gang. I have been wondering when these guys would get some sort of restitution, freedom, whatever:
“Menendez Family Steps Up Pressure at Press Conference, Asking Los Angeles D.A. to Free Brothers
The family of Lyle and Erik Menendez held a press conference Wednesday to urge D.A. George Gascón to help free the brothers, who have served 34 years in prison for murdering their parents.
The brothers’ defense team has argued that new evidence shows they were victims of sexual abuse by their father, Jose Menendez.
