What I learned at 5:15 a.m.

What I learned at 5:15 am this morning about Brewer’s yeast tablets is: Do not set out 8 of them on the kitchen counter and then go downstairs to clean out the litter boxes.  Because Doris will get up on the counter the moment my back is turned and happily gobble up all 8 of the pills. This means she got 8 times the amount of Brewer’s yeast this morning than she’s supposed to have. And she seems happy as a little clam, too.

I’m guessing that fleas will literally be fleeing in the other direction now when Doris comes around.

Well, sorry it’s been a long time since I posted. The course I’m taking in school has been really fantastic but it has involved a lot of reading and a ton of writing, so between that and revisions on the TV pilot, I have not had much brain room left over.

Once I finish the revision, which needs to be completed before the end of August, I will be switching right back to the Pearl Bailey play.  What a terrific year this has been!

The next course I am taking in school is Church Administration. I’m guessing it might not be my favorite course and could likely involve math… However, it has been really incredible to learn about all the pastoral rites involved with ministry.  It’s getting so real, gang. And on August 18th, I begin a 2 month course at church about pastoring to the terminally ill and the bereaved.

Oh, and in the middle of all this, I re-connected with a man I used to love many, many years ago.  Wow, what a great feeling it’s been to be flooded with so many memories of love. I highly recommend it!

Okay, have a great Friday, gang, wherever you are and whatever you do. I personally, have a couple papers to write and then I also have some work to do over at the church. It should be a really beautiful day. Okay, see ya. Thanks for visiting!

Literally a Ton of Writing

I have, literally, a ton of writing to get to over here. Need to get some new pages written for the Pearl Bailey play, then do a huge amount of revisions on the TV pilot. All of it preferably done yesterday, so…

What better way to spend this busy moment than by posting more photos of my cats???

This is Scottie in various stages of kittendom last spring and summer. Scottie is one of Tommy’s babies, the sister of Francis-the-scamp.

Scottie is a sweet-natured tabby, but more on the side of feral than semi-feral. She rarely even ventures upstairs.  She hangs out in the sun room, the family room, or up in the rafters in the unfinished part of the basement.  She’s very, very pretty, if also very shy.

Scottie with her brother, Zellie, when they were just wee bonnie babes. Scottie is the tabby. Zellie was only one of two kittens that actually got adopted.
