That’s right. It looks as if most people (88%) in the U S had the E B S alert blocked from their phones yesterday by a pp le t – mo bile ver izon and others.
Very interesting, right?
No one I worked with yesterday, who had kept their phones turned on, received any type of alert.
Um, I’m thinking that’s illegal….
According to S * mon P * rkes some of the States that did get the phone e b s, like fl ori da, got bizarre messages with their alerts.
My friend, Val in Brooklyn, got the alert on her car radio and she said it ended with a very strange little advisory that was not the usual one.
All very curious, indeed. One thing weird that did happen to my phone yesterday, even though I kept it turned off most of the day, once I turned my phone back on, ALL of my notifications to turn on or off the e b s & amber alerts, etc., had completely disappeared from my phone. When I rebooted the phone, they were back. When I powered it down again and turned it back on, they were gone again. Then they were back.
This happened several times. I eventually got them all back and then just kept the damn phone on. Don’t want to keep tempting fate like that.
But, hmmm. Almost sounds like there was some satellite warfare going on yesterday afternoon…
On another note — I can’t be too transparent about this because of people’s privacy, but Val also told me yesterday that the 14-year-old son of close friends of hers was kidnapped down in fl or i d a by s e x tr aff i ckers. And even though the police a nd f b i got involved right away, the boy was able to escape on his own after several days. Thank GOD.
