Another New Life Awaits!

Okay, gang. I don’t really have much to post about today.

Yesterday was mostly about talking on the phone to everyone imaginable, and also getting the house ready for me to be going off to a job again (3 days a week).

You know, mostly this —

Oh, and you know, after I’d vacuumed my entire house — while my birth mom was here for 3 days:

SHE (when I got home from the airport): “I went ahead and vacuumed. Hope you don’t mind.”

I guess it’s hereditary — this nonstop vacuuming.

************

I’m really excited to get back into that store today and start learning again, gang.

I used to know every product in that store, what it was for, why it worked, why you might not need it, why you should stay away from it, or why it might save your life.

A lot of it, I still remember, but a whole lot of it I will have to re-learn. Plus, there’s new stuff out there that I need to find out about!

I’m also really excited to start wearing my regular clothes again!!

For the last 4 years, I’ve worn shirts with specific logos on them. I’d actually forgotten about some of the really pretty sweaters and fall clothes that I had because I hadn’t worn them in so long.

So that feels really great, too! Sort of like having a new wardrobe, but more like getting reacquainted with things I used to love.

I guess it’s called having a life…

*********

Okay.

Sandra called yesterday to update me on the various things I will most likely need to go to Rhinebeck and NYC for in December and January. I’ll post more exact details here when I can.

God, I just LOVE Rhinebeck, NY!!

Sandra’s cabaret at the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square, in NYC, will still be happening in January, but I’m not sure of the exact date yet. (But another hotel stay is in my not-too-far-off future, gang!!)

And for the next week or ten days, when I’m not working in the store, I will be completing the editing of the M. Christian tribute anthology and turning that in.

After that, my guess is, I will need to focus on tightening the script for Sandra’s one-woman cabaret show (which includes a couple segments from our play, “The Guide to Being Fabulous”).

Okay!

From Ross K. Nichols Sunday School yesterday–

“Jesus made the Kingdom of God the centerpiece of his message. He said it was the reason he was sent, told his followers to seek it first, and taught them to pray for its coming. But where did the idea come from, what did it require, and was the work ever completed?”

The Kingdom of God: Jesus’ Unfinished Mission (52 mins):

And here’s this!

And regarding the t-shirt — in summer 1981, The Clash played a week-long gig at Bond’s in Times Square, which was one block from where I lived back then. Absolute pandemonium!

Upon first glance here, it almost looks like the family that smokes together, stays together!

However, Marlon isn’t really smoking…

Anyway!

And here’s this!

From Facebook, no doubt!!

And I think that perhaps this one is a little AI enhanced (?), but I still love it!

**************

And that is actually it for the “here’s this’s” today.

And I’m guessing that I won’t have too many tomorrow, either. Unless of course the store has a firm policy now that staff members remain on their phones, scrolling through Instagram at all times…

I wouldn’t want to go against a firm policy or anything…

Anyway!!

Enjoy your Monday, wherever you are in the world, gang.

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

Let’s close with this!!

It’s been all over Instagram lately, to promote the release of the 49th Anniversary, My Aim Is True, 5 CD Boxed Set!!

Elvis Costello, Watching The Detectives (Live On Top Of The Pops, October 11, 1977) Enjoy, gang!

A peaceful morning in the Hinterlands!

Wow, last night was, well — interesting, gang.

I’m not sure how much I want to post about it here, but I will say that I texted for about an hour and a half with a cold case investigative reporter regarding my memories of working with and knowing RC Hörsch. (Apparently the number of women who disappeared and who are now known to have been connected to him in some way is up to 7, and 5 are known to be dead.)

It was actually a sort of calming conversation. In that I was able to express what I remembered (from over 25 years ago). And also, ultimately, I got the feeling that these women will at some point get justice.

Other than that, I had a really productive day yesterday. ALL the housecleaning, laundry, etc., is DONE!! Today I’m going to touch up the paint on the walls.

Other than that, it’s all ready for my birth mom to come here and take care of the cats.

**************

Okay!!

Guess what day it is??!!

That’s right!!!

Happy 69th birthday, Nick Cave!!!

And some of my favorites from Instagram and Facebook today!

My favorite– which I saw on my phone at 3AM and then had a hard time going back to sleep!!

And here’s the photo I posted on Instagram–

And this was the music I chose to go along with the birthday wishes! “Forever Young,” by Bob Dylan!!

*************

Other than that, I am once again, wiped out. But I don’t feel terrorized, like I felt through most of the last 4 weeks for various reasons:

  1. Editing that writer’s memoir and finding out about all the horrific things that happened to him in Indiana;

2. Then the first contact re: RC Hörsch being a potential serial killer;

3. Then that horrible car accident happening right in front of me in the intersection;

4. Then getting scammed out of all the money in my checking account ;

5. Then finding out that my girlhood school friend is now confined to a nursing home and is very seriously ill.

I’m just basically wiped out.

However, I really, really do feel like things are calmer for me, personally, and sort of on the upswing, because I also saw sides of people, sometimes total strangers, that were very compassionate and supportive.

And I am really looking forward to the conference this weekend in North Carolina. We have already been told that some very important announcements are going to be made regarding more 1st Century CE archeological/ossuary discoveries in Jerusalem.

Plus, I just love being in hotels.

*****************

All right.

I saw this on Instagram yesterday and it thrilled me so much that I had to go find it on YouTube and watch it a few more times!!

I was never really into Guns & Roses one way or the other, but this is so cool. Axl Rose joins Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers on “Free Fallin'” at the MTV Music Awards in 1989. I have always LOVED this song, but the emotional energy of this duet was fantastic–

**********

And from Phyllis Stein!

Richard Hell, smoking in NYC in 1982!!

************

I think that’s actually it. I need to sort of just re-group here mentally, and do a little painting around the house.

Have a terrific Tuesday, wherever you are in the world, gang.

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

************

Let’s close with another one of my all-time favorites as we once again say:

Happy Birthday, Nick Cave!

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, “Jesus of the Moon,” from Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!, 2008. Enjoy, gang.

“Jesus of the Moon”

I stepped out of the St. James Hotel
I’d left y/ behind curled up like a child
well, a change is gonna come
& as the door whispered shut
I walked on down the high-windowed hall
y/ lay sleeping on the unmade bed
the weatherman on the television
in the St. James Hotel said
that the rains are gonna come
& I stepped out on the streets/ all sparkling clean
w/ the early morning dew
maybe it was y/ or maybe it was me?
y/ came on like a punch in the heart
y/ lying there w/ the light on yr hair
like a jesus of the moon
a jesus of the planets & the stars
well I kept thinking about what the weatherman said
& if the voices of the living can be heard by the dead
well the day is gonna come
when we find out & in some kinda way
I take a little comfort from that (now & then)
cause people often talk about being scared of change
but for me I’m more afraid of things staying the same
cause the game is never won
by standing in any one place for too long
maybe it was y/ or maybe it was me
but there was a chord in y/ I could not find to strike
y/ lying there w/ all the light in your hair
like a jesus of the moon
a jesus of the planets & the stars
I see the many girls walking down the empty streets
& maybe once or twice one of them smiles at me
y/ can’t blame anyone
for saying hello/ I say hey/ I say hello/ I say hello
will it be me or will it be y/?
one must stay & one must depart
y/ lying there in a St. James hotel bed
like a Jesus of the moon
a Jesus of the planets & the stars
I say hello/ hello/ hello

Guess What I Did Yesterday??!!

You are correct if you jumped up & down and said: “NOTHING!!”

Yay!

I actually wound up taking the day off. Meaning, I didn’t work at my desk.

I did make some headway in my reading yesterday afternoon — I am well into re-reading The Jesus Discovery, which I need to have finished before I go to the Tabor Research Group conference in Charlotte, NC, at the end of September:

And, YES!!

I did indeed finally finish reading John Cooper Clarke’s autobiography, I Wanna Be Yours, yesterday, too!

What a wonderful book. But it was really long — almost 500 pages — so it took me nearly 3 months to finish it. But I did!!

It is much easier for me to read in broad daylight, with plenty of natural light coming in through the many windows here.

Usually, though, I don’t have time to sit down and start reading until evening, when the sun is, of course, waning…

And OH!

Speaking of WAYNE!!

I absolutely LOVE this selfie Wayne sent to me! He’s at his beloved Union Club in NYC:

Every time I look at that photo, it just cracks me up!

************

Okay!

Well, it looks like I’m heading to Shanghai this afternoon! But it’ll just be a quick trip — dash in, see some art, head back. I should be home by dinnertime….

Anyway.

Johnny Depp’s Art Exhibit has opened in Shanghai, and apparently it is an expanded exhibit, and has pieces added that we didn’t see in the show in NYC!

************

And I loved this.

It seems that Jack Kerouac has an appropriate quote for every single moment of my often bewildering life:

Loyal readers of this lofty blog no doubt recall that it was a quote of Kerouac’s (below) that I taped to the wall next to my desk in order to finally complete my upcoming novel, The Curse of Our Profound Disorder.

I was kind of, you know, convinced, even while writing it, that it was the kind of story that was going to offend a whole lot of people. And yet…I still felt it needed to be written. (It’s fictional, but based on intense stuff that happened to people I actually knew, also, some of it, to myself.)

Anyway. Thanks, Jack. After 28 years, the novel is indeed complete, and will be published in just under one month!

(And thanks again, everyone, for pre-ordering it. The sales ranking of the eBook over at Amazon is really just jumping.)

****************

I watched this during breakfast this morning and it really made some very interesting key points.

Luke’s Gospel removes the need for sacrificial atonement. Instead, Luke returns to what Jesus actually taught: Forgiveness.

Bart Ehrman, interviewed last month on History Valley–

Jesus Didn’t Die For Anyone: Luke Removed The Atonement For Jesus Never Taught It! | Dr. Bart Ehrman (31 mins):

****************

Okay!

I have to say that this one sort of puzzled me.

We’ve got, you know The Fall, singing “Hit the North (Pt. 1)”. But then also an unmistakable nod to the Rolling Stones….

Anyway! Warren Ellis, apparently working out in Sweden??? (It was a gas, gas, gas???)

And meanwhile, just quickly, here’s this!!

Okay!

Back to Sweden and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds!

Looks like a whole lot of people had a fantastic time, doesn’t it??

Here’s the set list:

There were some great videos posted — some cool footage of the Bad Seeds chilling while listening to The Cure’s set over on a different stage. But not many photos, yet.

Here’s a smiling Nick Cave, though:

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds play Finland tomorrow. You can buy tickets HERE!

************

And that’s sort of looking like that’s it for now!

Have a super Saturday, wherever you are in the world, gang!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

**********

I leave you with this!

The Hollywood Vampires sing the Velvet Underground in London! “Venus In Furs”!! Enjoy, gang.

Just a really beautiful day

So, not only do I have the entire day to sit at my desk and focus on the M. Christian tribute anthology stuff, but it is truly a gorgeous day here, weather-wise.

So sunny. Not humid at all. And only about 72 degrees Fahrenheit.

And I just now took a lovely walk to the post office.

My first husband, Chong, had sent me a Certified letter. And while I was guessing it was something for my upcoming birthday, when I opened the letter — right there in the lobby of the post office — I was not expecting to SMILE so fucking much!!

Not only was it money (yay) — and a lot more money than I would have expected — but he had also put together a little greeting on a piece of paper and folded the money inside it (a homemade “birthday card”):

I just smiled and smiled and smiled.

I even took the long way home, because I didn’t want to stop being out in the beautiful weather and smiling.

*************

Okay.

I don’t have a lot to post about today.

However, this happened!

When the Rolling Stones had their first gig at the Marquee Club, it officially started the “group” — meaning, it was the first time they publicly went by the name “Rollin’ Stones”.

The anniversary of the gig was yesterday– a lot of sites posted tributes. Here’s a couple:

And here’s Keith at Joshua Tree in 1968. Photo by Michael Cooper:

*************

Here’s this from Phyllis Stein!

A really great one of David Jo and Johnny Thunders in 1974!!

And speaking of 1974 — what a year that was. Truly the nadir of my entire existence. So many horrific things happened to me that year, that I don’t know how I would have survived it without rock & roll records to listen to and pictures to look at in rock magazines, while hiding up in my room… Jesus.

**************

Ooh! Speaking of Jesus–

Ross K. Nichols recommended that those of us in his private Yachad Group get the following book, so I did, and it is really interesting — what the Old Testament would have been like in the time that Jesus would have been reading it:

Jesus’ Bible: A Concise History of the Hebrew Scriptures by Christopher Dost

************

And speaking of Ross K. Nichols, this was also very interesting–

From his Sunday School class yesterday.

“No human figure dominates the pages of the Hebrew Bible more than David — the sweet Psalmist and celebrated shepherd king of Israel. But one biblical writer dared to tell what another desperately tried to hide.

In this class, Ross Nichols compares Samuel, Chronicles, and the Psalms to explore how David’s story was preserved, reshaped, and, in one unforgettable case, quietly covered over.”

The Truth About David They Tried to Hide (45 mins):

***************

And here are a couple more things from the Bad Seeds’ show in Madrid the other night– (again, there have been tons of great videos, but not a whole lot of just plain photos):

The set list!! (Which actually looks sort of intensely tight — no encore. But look at that chunk moving toward the end, especially: “The Mercy Seat,” followed by “Papa Won’t Leave You Henry,” “Red Right Hand,” “The Weeping Song,” “Jubilee Street” — then just sort of rip your heart out and stomp all over it with “Hollywood”. Then “Into My Arms,” then goodnight! That must have just been fucking INTENSE!!)

Okay. Anyway.

And here’s this — The Bad Seeds onstage in Madrid:

Tomorrow through Thursday, they play 3 different venues in France. Buy tickets HERE.

And then they’re taking a long-ish break to come to Crazeysburg and celebrate my birthday next week — Oops, I meant, to I guess relax?? I don’t know.

But at the end of July, is the great big bunch of stuff to celebrate the homecoming show in Brighton, but the show itself is SOLD OUT!

Then, things resume on August 2nd and continue at a heady pace for the rest of the month.

***********

And that is it for today!!

I’m gonna finish up the laundry and then go out and water all my many flowers… And then get to work on the official Call for Submissions for the M. Christian antho and send it out.

I hope you have a magnificent Monday, wherever you are in the world!

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

*************

Let’s close with this.

In keeping with the above-mentioned Sunday School class about King David–

I have always loved this version of Leonard Cohen’s masterpiece, “Hallelujah,” by k.d. lang.

From her album Hymns of the 49th Parallel, 2004. Enjoy, gang.

“Hallelujah”

I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
You don’t really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
Well she tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and cut your hair
And from your lips she drew Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Baby I’ve been here before
I’ve seen this room and I’ve walked the floor
used to live alone before I knew ya
But I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch
Our love is not a victory march
It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Maybe there’s a God above
But all I’ve ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
It’s not a cry that you hear at night
It’s not someone who’s seen the light
It’s a cold and broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah…

c – 1984 Leonard Cohen/ 2004 k.d.lang

Let the countdown begin

Okay, gang.

Including today, I have 10 more caregiving shifts left with the Agency.

TEN.

I turned in my 2 weeks notice yesterday.

My depression and exhaustion had gotten off the charts, especially last week, when the heat & humidity were off the charts and I still had to transport my clients (and their walkers and wheelchairs, etc.) hither and yon, in & out of the car, and I thought I was going to collapse…

And I finally confronted the fact that my life has been inundated with death & dying & deterioration, every single darn day for the last 2 years. With next to no energy leftover for myself and all my various writing projects.

I had no life left but I was not yet ready to die. What to do, what to do…

I could not take it anymore, the constant depression while trying to smile and help everybody.

Plus, my beloved Honda Civic is a leased car, and with a lease, you can only put a certain number of miles on it, otherwise it costs you additional money when the lease is over.

I was already over my mileage because I was doing NOTHING but driving and driving and driving…. (I still have over a year left on the current lease, though, so I can now put the brakes on that, as it were.)

So, I spoke to the Agency yesterday, gave my notice. And now I’m focused strictly on writing. (Freelance as well as my own works-in-progress.)

And on we go…

Me, near future

Plus, it leaves me very flexible for when the jury duty stuff comes up, so I can get that over with, too.

All righty.

Before I forget — I will not be posting here tomorrow because I have a very early shift in the morning.

But at some point, either this evening or tomorrow afternoon, I will finally be catching up with Sandra to see what “page” we’re on regarding our work on the play, and/or our work on the possible TV pilot.

And regarding the M. Christian tribute anthology — I made some great progress with that yesterday. Mostly continuing to locate people that I haven’t worked with in a long time (all of whom also worked with M. Christian).

Had some great email exchanges, and even some pretty amazing phone chats, with writers & publishers living overseas.

It will be a great feeling to just focus on writing/editing again — which is what I did for many years (until the stupid scamdemic).

************

All righty!

Here’s this!

From Ross K. Nichols’ “Sunday School”–

“Scribes changed our Bible. In some cases, they even told us where and why. These are called the Emendations of the Scribes: deliberate alterations, admitted in the fine print of the Masoretic notes by the very scribes credited with preserving the text behind our Bible.”

They Admitted They Changed the Bible! (40 mins):

**********

And in a totally unrelated “here’s this”–

I forgot to post this the other day!!

The Rolling Stones – Speaking In Tongues | The Official Podcast (Episode 2) (22 mins):

The new album comes out in 3 days…. Pre-order here if you haven’t already!!

And here’s this!!

And here’s this!!! From yesterday–

And while we’re at it– “Dream A Little Dream of Me”!! 1968:

And here’s Tom Petty, on a PR trip in NYC in 1976! Not smoking and with no attitude whatsoever!!

************

And from Castle Fine Art yesterday — more on Johnny Depp’s new print collection, Yesterday’s Flowers:

Buy signed, limited editions HERE.

*************

And yesterday, Nick Cave sent out one of those Red Hand Files wherein he answers a great big bunch of questions with very short answers! (Wherein I also discovered that the recent Red Hand File he sent out about the old people & aging that just broke my heart — was actually a made up story…) Anyway.

This one was my favorite:

Q: Why doesn’t Warren play a REAL guitar?

A: I asked him. He said, because when you pick up a real guitar in the Bad Seeds, you end up getting thrown out of the band.

You can read them all, in full — a lot of them are funny — HERE.

************

And here are a bunch of Bad Seeds things from the past couple of nights.

Well, first, this one was from that Facebook page that always pops up first thing in the morning, but I honestly have no idea where the photos are from or when:

Now–

Nick Cave in Poland!

Nick in Montreux!

Nick and the Bad Seeds in Stuttgart, Germany!

And the set list!

The Bad Seeds play Portugal on Thursday. You can buy tickets here!

*********

And I think that is it for today, gang.

I gotta head to town here soon. (And get the countdown to “just writing” and “maybe jury duty” quietly started…)

Have a terrific Tuesday, wherever you are in the world.

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

***********

Let’s leave with this!

From the reruns I am currently watching on Prime, after dinner and before studying French!

“The Middle”. It ran for 9 seasons. I loved this show! Enjoy, gang (3 mins):

“You’d think she’d be used to it by now.”

I am, of course, referring to how dumbfounding it is to be ME.

I just don’t get it sometimes (most of the time).

Since I have all sorts of free time these days (!!), when the Dramatists Guild sent out an alert yesterday that it was almost time for this year’s End of Play program to begin, wherein you get one month (June) to write an entire play, while “posting weekly updates to the community tracking the progress”, I decided I’d better sign up!

You know, write an entire play in the month of June, while being tracked by an entire community the whole time.

WTF???

So I signed up!

WTF??

Not only am I always scrambling for quality time to focus and write around here, I am also going to be in NYC from June 11th thru June 14th…

However.

My thought process was that, after having stumbled across my 12-year-old notes (see some previous blog post from a few days ago) for my play-in-progress about Caiaphas, and being kind of blown away by the quality of the notes, as well as how fucking long ago I made those notes —

It seemed like: well, it doesn’t have to be a perfect, final draft of a play. It just needs to be a finished first draft…

And I thought it would be a good way to not lose track of the play entirely and at least write one version of it before I die.

And I knew that, not only did I have those notes really handy now, but I also knew there was a version of the play that I had indeed begun writing, in a Dropbox file marked “Caiaphas” on my desktop.

So, last evening, to refresh my memory, I began re-reading Tom Stoppard’s 1967 play “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead” to see the various mechanisms that had originally inspired my approach to writing my play.

I got 20 pages in, and then I thought: I need to stop reading, and in the morning, just get out those first few pages of the draft I already wrote, and read it, and begin from there.

And I went to sleep feeling sort of guilty about committing myself to such an intense writing task right now — but it is only for one month, and I do sort of/kind of have some wiggle room in the month of June, project-wise…

There are still 4 months before the new novel comes out. I won’t need to focus on “The Guide to being Fabulous” until summer. If Sandra and I do get the okay to work on the TV pilot, that won’t be underway until July. And the upcoming launch of the mini-podcast with Valerie will get under way later in May… So June is, yeah, well, sort of “open”…

I don’t know, gang. I went to sleep feeling like I’m sort of/kind of losing my mind.

Me, losing my mind, etc.

However.

This morning, after all the breakfast shenanigans were over, and I was on cup of coffee #2, I found the “Caiaphas” folder in the Dropbox (and found DOZENS of notes, notes, and more notes — and photos of ancient tombs and ossuaries in there, as well!!)

And I opened the document for the play (that I had written in late 2016 (!!) for fuck’s sake!! Crikey!!!! I’ve lived in 3 houses since I started writing that fucking play!!!).

The play is almost 3 pages so far. And I am not exaggerating, gang, when I say that I was blown away by this fucking play.

It is SO FUN!!

Here are just a couple of samplings from page 2:

Down in the burial cave, STAGE RIGHT, by one of the niches, CAIAPHAS leans against the wall, listening to the conversation above. He is dressed in a black tee shirt, black blazer, black tight-fitting jeans, and he wears Spanish-heeled boots of black leather.

For our purposes, the cave is not cramped. Caiaphas is tall and lean —in his prime. He is clean-shaven, with thick, curly dark hair —not too short, not too long.

Caiaphas also wears black Ray Ban wayfarer sunglasses, circa 1960s, and smokes a cigarette
(...)
CAIAPHAS (to audience): Did you catch that part, Yeshua bar Yehosef? Or ‘Joshua son of Joseph’ – for those of you who haven’t kept up on your Biblical Aramaic. Yeshua. Joshua – Josh. If you prefer Greek, then Iesous – or Jesus. Yes, that one. ‘Jesus son of Joseph.’ (Caiaphas tosses his cigarette to the ground and stamps it out with his boot heel.) Filthy habit. But it’s not what killed me. (He smiles broadly; a genuine smile, filled with warmth and good humor. He removes his sunglasses, sliding them into a pocket.) (...)

(...)And I am Yehosef bar Caiaphas – Joseph son of Caiaphas. You can call me Joe. (Walking DOWN CENTER) Look at me. I look good for 60, don’t I? Where I come from … 60 is the new 35! But seriously (...)

(...) Anyway. I was born here in Jerusalem; back in that murky era referred to now as ‘B.C.’ – ‘Before Christ’ – and I died here, too, but God knows, it was in the ‘A.D.’ (He chuckles) Get it? A.D. – After Death? Of Christ? (Pause) Look me up on the Internet if you don’t understand why that’s funny. (...)

*********

BTW–

If you don’t know who Caiaphas was:

“Caiaphas, the Jewish High Priest, orchestrated the arrest, interrogation, and conviction of Jesus, pushing for his execution to appease Roman authorities and protect his own power. He presided over the midnight trial of Jesus before the Sanhedrin, accusing him of blasphemy, and subsequently delivered him to Pontius Pilate to ensure his crucifixion.”

*******

So, you know, this morning, I read over the 3 pages of this play I started writing 10 years ago…

And I realized that my signing up to participate in the End Of Play program was a sign that I am meant to write this fucking PLAY. And not a sign that I am out of my mind.

Perhaps even a sign that there is some sort of spiritual guidance happening here, that is trying to lead me back to my writing and to stop me from feeling so overwhelmed by the caregiving all the time.

We are going to find out.

********

Okay!

Let’s get to the “here’s this’s” because I have to get some stuff done (God knows) before I head out to see the retired Minister and his lovely wife and cat.

So here’s this!

And that will be it for now.

I still need to do yoga and begin listening to a new lecture by James Tabor in the “Christianity Before Paul” class, before heading to town. (And also, you know, start sorting through all the many notes for that “Caiaphas” play I’m going to entirely write in June…)

Enjoy your Sunday, wherever you are in the world.

Thanks for visiting.

I love you guys. See ya!

I leave you with this!!

Another winner in the making-the-bed-music-listening department!!

I literally switched on the Oldies FM Radio Station on the retro boom box to begin making my bed, and this ABSOLTUE GEM was just coming on, and I swear, the cats all came darting in again, tails up high, and started playing and racing around.

They LOVE music from the 80s!! I am not kidding!

Anyway.

Wham! “Wake Me Up before You Go-Go”!! Enjoy the fuck out of it, gang. We sure did!!
