Well, gang, it is just another gorgeous day here, yet again. Wow. And, also — not a whole of news!!
Yesterday was really just a perfect Saturday here in the Hinterlands. It was over 80 degrees Fahrenheit, so I had all the windows open, all over the house. And not only did that make me happy, but all the cats were just delighted to hear all the birds singing again.
And I’ve got nests all over the place. There’s a robin with a nest in the eaves of my barn. There’s a starling in the eaves over my front porch –her eggs have hatched now, but the babies are still in the nest. There’s a starling in the soffit of the roof over the downstairs bathroom. And a robin built a nest over the light fixture of my kitchen porch. I had thought she had abandoned the nest because of all the cats who stop by to eat on my kitchen porch during the night, but I was wrong. She is most definitely there now — around the clock.
Anyway, it was quite a happy day and today has all the earmarks of being the same.
And last night’s rally — wow. Was Trump in a good mood. He seemed to be very relaxed, happy. He was making jokes and using his “colorful” language again. Not the f-bomb, but he said “goddamn,” and “shit” at least once. I love how he talks like a total New Yorker. I really miss that aspect of NYC.
Anyway. Okay. I thought it was very interesting that the one time Trump even mentioned “our Governor” — didn’t mention him by name — but he spoke of him in the past-tense. He said something like, Ohio “had a really terrible Governor.” Something like that, but definitely past-tense and we haven’t even had out midterm elections yet. Hopefully the rumors that our “Governor” has already arrested and taken out are true.

Once again, there is very little of what I would call “new” news but for some inexplicable reason, I have all the time in the world this morning, so I didn’t want to just post nothing.

It is a really beautiful spring day here, today. Just gorgeous. And it promises to be like this the whole weekend — plus, I don’t have to work!! So I am feeling just amazingly blessed this morning.
Also, I was able to do the Zoom meditation out of New Zealand this morning, since I don’t have to work today, This morning, they announced that, starting next Saturday, the mediation will go back an hour — to 6am EDT– which means I can once again participate in the meditation every Saturday morning. That really means a lot to me. I was very happy to hear that. It was another one of those mornings where I overslept and had to drag myself out of bed at 4:11am and try to get this day going.
It’s going. but, wow, am I tired. And I discovered something yesterday that seems to have kept me from getting that job I interviewed for last week — my cellphone was not actually ringing for the last several days, and all my calls were going straight to voicemail. Until I discovered, late yesterday, that my voice-mailbox was full! 41 new messages! I’d had no idea. I knew my phone was behaving strangely but I didn’t know that I wasn’t getting any of my calls. And so I blew that chance to get the additional job. (I thought it was extremely strange that they “never called me back” but lo! & behold — they did….)
Even though I really wanted the extra money from a second/seasonal weekend job, I took it as a sign from God that my cellphone suddenly went wonky; that I would have probably collapsed if I took on a second job right now… and this morning, when I could barely get out of bed, I thought, “Yep, that was probably a good thing.”
Anyway. Here I am.

She jumped up onto my bed for the first time in months. And she grabbed one of my fingers in her mouth and batted my hand with her paw. Oh my goodness, it was so exciting for me. It took a lot of prayers to get that little cat well.

Another day of almost no news. Which I guess is good because I am still feeling the leftover vibes from Easter. I had probably the saddest Easter I ever had in my life.
I’ll tell you, gang, following Q is probably the loneliest thing you can do on planet Earth. Most of the time, I don’t complain because the bottom line for me is that the US Constitution must be preserved at all costs. Regardless of anyone and anything, or any comfy happy holiday that you spend alone.
But, truly, I have no family left that wants anything to do with me, even my birth mom. Because they either think I’m completely crazy, or they seriously do not share my politics and believe that I am supporting evil.
And I have 7 people left in the entire world — and I am not exaggerating because I used to be a famous writer/editor/publisher and I actually know lots of people in the entire world — but now only 7 of them are still speaking to me for the same reasons I listed above.
Even though, over the last 2 years, the proof of Q has been proven time and time again.
And yet you can’t see it if you don’t turn off your TV.
So I spent Easter Sunday completely alone, catching up on some reading, and I also started a new course online — a sort of deep dive into the various permutations of the first few hundred years of Christianity, up until Constantine. This is the era I love most in Christian history, because it is the only way of getting even a hint of what Jesus actually taught. After Constantine, all hope of truly understanding Jesus is all but obliterated and you get Paul instead.
Anyway. I do enjoy studying that. And. over the weekend, I also dusted off The Return of Sherlock Holmes (British TV show, 1986), starring Jeremy Brett. By far my favorite portrayal of Sherlock Holmes, ever. And I really. really loved watching that again after all these years.
My ex-husband, Wayne, in NYC, was a professional stage actor when we were first married. And he and I loved watching that whole series. He especially appreciated Jeremey Brett’s iconic vision for playing Sherlock Holmes. So, on Saturday afternoon, feeling wistful, I called Wayne in NYC and we chatted for quite awhile, reminiscing about our love of Sherlock Holmes, etc. It was a really nice, long chat. But he was the sole person I talked to the entire 4 days I had off. (Not counting the job interview, of course.)
I got a few texts from friends, wishing me a Happy Easter. But I heard from zero family members. And Easter used to be such a wonderful holiday for me — back when I lived in NYC.
Anyway. It was very sad. I’m not someone who cries very often, but I actually cried yesterday.
And now my beloved Muse wants to be — I don’t know — left alone now? I’m not really sure what’s going on there. But the last thing I want to do is impose my spiritual presence there if it is not wanted, but creating without a Muse is one of the worst options a writer can face. So I’m basically trying to just not think about it.

Okay, so far the laptop seems to be cooperating with me. Let’s hope that lasts at least long enough to post this.
I have been having just the best time off. And today, for the first time in a couple of weeks, I was able to join in on the Connecting Consciousness international zoom meditation out of New Zealand. Now that everyone’s clocks have gone ahead, I can no longer join it on the Saturdays when I have to go in to work. So that was really nice.
My entire house is completely clean — yay! So that is also really nice. And all the bed linens have been switched from winter flannel to summer cotton. And the windows are open a little bit, birds singing all day long now. I just love this time of year.
Sadly, my favorite Instagrammer is no longer Instagramming. I guess he just wants to be left alone now. So that’s sad, but you know. You gotta let people have their privacy, their peace, and their private lives. But now — telegram aside — I’m finding my phone really boring, and it is so much easier to just set it down and walk away…

I got a call yesterday afternoon from the local — and very beautiful– garden center (they sell flowers, plants, trees, soil, etc.), to see if I could come in for an interview this morning.
The job will only last for about 8 weeks, and it’s weekends only, and it would be so great to be surrounded by all those flowers — plus I would get a discount on any flowers I wanted to buy.
Still, it means I will be working nonstop for 8 weeks, with no time to even wash my hair or do yoga…but it would be much needed money, right away.
I get the feeling they are going to hire me — today. And then want me to train — this weekend.
So much for my 4 beautiful Holy Days. But perhaps next year, things will be really different.
